 As
leader of the ape family, Kerchak, the silverback gorilla, is a powerful
force to be reckoned with. His primary concern is his family's safety, and
he sees Tarzan as a threat to their well-being. But Kerchak's view changes
when Tarzan puts the family before himself and risks all to save them. Then
Kerchak realizes that he can trust Tarzan and that he is truly one of them.
