The Enden worship one deity, Aralea, the goddess of nature, however this deity takes many forms, each of which is revered equally but as a separate entity.

Gilreon is the spirit of the chase. He takes the form of an almost savage humanoid, with hind legs as which a hind may possess, feral like fangs from a wolf, and acute senses only possessed by the most keen of creatures. In times of war he was said to fight with the men of Enden, chasing down their enemies, calling upon the savage animals of the forest to protect his people, in times of war this god seems to take precedence in the order of worship from the people of Enden.

Shalindra is the protector. She takes form of the healing spirit, she looks after the sick and wounded. She has taken many forms, from just a feeling of well-being to a dying warrior on the field of battle, to an old woman come to heal the sick and dying. She has rarely been seen in a physical form, only when plague and pestilence threatened to wipeout her people, has she taken such drastic forms of intervention. She gains more worshipers during times of death and mourning, such would be found after a great battle.

Renaya is the spirit of life itself. This god is the spirit of the living forest. He is prayed to for many things, a good harvest, a fruitful hunt and bountiful forage. This god is never seen but he presence is all around. A tree that grows where none thought possible. A bush damaged beyond all repairs that takes root and thrives. Yet this god does not just take for in foliage and crops, he is also responsible for the animals of the forest. The people of Enden rely on these creatures for meat and hides. Without the hides of the animals and wood of the trees the people of Enden would have nothing to trade for rare metal weapons that some posses. To this end Renaya is also the god of trade.

The structure of Enden's priests is thus:

The Head Priest of Aralea: This is the highest form of religious authority the people of Enden have. The Priest once chosen will take the position until his/hers death. Upon this time he/she will appoint a successor from the council of Aralea. This Priest will honour all three parts of Aralea but will most likely hold an affinity with the spirit that he/she once served before being appointed.

The Council of Aralea:This council serves very little purpose than to create a 'pool' from which the next Head Priest of Aralea is chosen. The council consists of The Head Priest from each of the separate churches (Gilreon, Shalindra and Renaya). If the Head Priest of Aralea is trouble with matters of great importance he will turn to this council for guidance. Although many outsiders would expect this arrangement to cause friction between the three churches there is none, after all they are all serving the same god, just separate parts.

The Head Priest of Gilreon: This Priest is the most sought after from the warriors of Enden. They will seek his/hers blessing before a battle or great hunt. This Priest will often advise the king in matters of war. The Priest like all priests who follow Gilreon are most likely to be mighty warriors and will accompany the warriors of Enden in times of great war. Despite what many would think they can administer great healing. Although not as powerful in the arts of healing as those who follow Shalindra, they have saved many brave warriors.

The Head Priest of Shalindra: This Priest also fills the role of head healer. This church are well schooled in the arts of healing and the preservation of life. However they will not accompany warriors to war or on hunts as the fighting violates the code by which they live. Although they do understand that fighting is necessary. People will come to the Head Priest when no other can heal them. If they have any chance it is with the Head Priest of Shalindra.

The Head Priest of Renaya: This Priest is often found to be wandering the forest. Communing with nature they say. The farmers of Enden ask this Priest to help in blessing the crops or predict if the harvest will be good this year. When the harvest is over and the fields are plowed you can often see the Head Priest and his Priest walking up and down the furrows sprinkling a white powder; none outside the order knows what it is. Not even the Head Priest of Aralea (unless the Head Priest of Aralea also used to be the Head Priest of Renaya). Many wonder what is contained in this white powder yet the church will not reveal its secret. All that is know is the fields that undergo this treatment are never without crops. In times of war these Priests do not usually help. They cannot heal or fight but once the danger has past they come into their own. Enden will need to rebuild. The trees always seem to grow faster and the fields always seem to be less damaged and the wildlife return quicker when the Priests of Renaya are around.

Priests: Each church has a number of Priests, from these Priests the new Head Priest of each church is selected upon the death or 'promotion' of that churches Head Priest. When people come to the temples seeking guidance these will be the people they will talk to. The Head Priests will only be disturbed if the matter is of great importance.

The Tree Esragoth - The Story of Creation.

Aralea came to a barren land. Devoid of life, no animals no trees. In the center of this land she planted a tree, Esragoth it was called. It needed protection. From herself she created three gods: Gilreon, Shalindra and Renaya. Gilreon protected this tree, fighting all enemies that sought to destroy it. Shalindra haled the tree from all harms it endured from the elements. Renaya nurtured the tree, letting it grow and pruning it. Under their care the tree grew, until it reached sizes unheard of. Then other trees appeared and before long a large forest had sprouted up. It filled with animals, and small plant life thrived. In less than 30 short years the wasteland had become a forest. Aralea worried. Soon the gods that were she, would have to return to her, as she was weak. Who would protect her forest?

At that time a group of traveling men happened upon chance to enter the forest. There Aralea herself greeted them. Seeing the good in their hearts she allowed them to stay and lead them to the great tree. Here they formed a small community of rangers and were taught the ways of the forest by Gilreon, Shalindra and Renaya. However as the years rolled by Aralea felt herself getting weaker by the day until she recalled the gods Gilreon, Shalindra and Renaya and made herself whole. Now she would see how the rangers would fare. Before she left this world she took with her the only acorn the great tree Esragoth had ever produced. She told the people that this tree held the life force of the forest within it, should it ever be destroyed the forest would fail. Unless parts of it were recovered even if the were dead they would hold the forest together. If a time came when this would happen the acorn would be found and then planted. A new tree would grow and the safety of the forest ensured.

However Esragoth was destroyed and the people true to their god saved parts of the tree that they could, the council of Esragoth fashion a table from the largest piece that was saved, the smaller pieces were made into small carvings and placed in the three temples. Now the Priest wait, they hope the great acrorn will be found and used to save the forest.

As for the rest of Adellion, the Enden assume that other gods, after seeing Aralea's masterpiece, copied her, and created more lands. One of the major points the Endish use to support this is that they live very near the center of Adellion, and they assume that the site of the Table of Esragoth is the exact center of Adellion, whether this is actually correct unlikely, but the Endish belive it is.
