During OPERATION: PHILANTHROPIST you have helped a charity from your community by raising student awareness, and planning a fundraiser to increase the charity's resources. But OPERATION: PHILANTHROPIST has done a lot for you as well. This exercise has helped you to develop your skills at research using the internet, at working with small and large groups, and understanding the dynamics of communicating within groups. This project has also shown you how to create effective business communication tools and documents such as notes from meetings, memorandums, business letters, formal and informal reports, and even PowerPoint presentations. OPERATION: PHILANTHROPIST has also given you an opportunity to practice your public speaking skills. All of these skills are essential for success in todays workplace, and will be useful in helping you to create an effective personal resume. What's more, OPERATION: PHILANTHROPIST has given you some volunteer experience (and possibly even some new references), which you can cite on your resume. |
