According to the International Chamber of Commerce, the environmental audit is a specialized study, required and used in order to take informed decisions. The environmental audit consists in a systemic, regular and documented assessment of the extent up to which the management, infrastructure and environmental equipment are able to comply with the environmental protection requirements.

Enviroservice also elaborates, through its partners, environmental impact impact studies and environmental assessments required by the authorities in the permitting process.

The basis of the Environmental Management systems is constituted by the succession of following operations:

Environmental Policy => Planning =>Implementation and operation  =>Checking and corrective action  => Management Review

The advantages of the implementation of the Environmental Management Systems are

identification of the environmental problems
establishment of realistic objectives and targets and of the responsibilities for reaching them
continual assessment and improvement of the environmental procedures and practices
capacity to easily adapt to the new environmental regulations
an easier access to credits

Cleaner production is, according to the official UNEP definition, - the continuous application of an integrated preventive environmental strategy to processes, products and services with the goal to increase efficiency and reduce the risk not only to humans but to the environment as well.

In most of the cases the economic benefits of the implementation of the cleaner production technologies are spectacular sometimes reaching up to 10 times the invested capital

Waste management is becoming one of the most difficult and complex environmental daily task for the companies. Starting with 1999 a number of 14 important legal acts (most of them Emergency Ordinances and Governmental Decisions) were adopted.
There were established special obligations concerning:

hazardous waste management

management of certain specific flows of waste (PCB/PCT, packaging, waste oils, batteries and accumulators, the use of sewage sludge in agriculture, waste tyres)

operations of waste disposal (incineration and landfill)

Annual report of the quantities of generated waste

Considering also the fact that in the next period we will witness an increase of the waste disposal prices of at least 2 to 3 times the actual value, it is clear that the waste management will be one of the most important and costly environmental issues.

Having in mind the abovementioned facts, it is clear that the efficiency of the waste management (especially avoidance  or  minimization of the waste generation) will have a significant impact on the economic efficiency of the companies.

Enviroservice assists the economic operators in the process of elaboration of the Major Accident Prevention Policy and of the safety reports for the prevention of major accident risks and also of the emergency plans which are mandatory according to the Governmental Decision 95/2003 (transposing SEVESO II Directive)

Most of the companies want to focus on what they are doing best: production of goods or providing the services which are their main object of activity. One of the ways in which this thing can be realized is the outsourcing of the environmental activities. The management can focus on the main activities leaving the planning, implementation and assessment of the environmental activities to the experts.
