Since DACC is wanting to build the new Super-Basketball Court in the field outside of North Ridge, they want a team of students to help in designing and running it. You will work in a group of 4 students where your tasks will be to build the new court including bleacher, choose how to program the techno-boots, decide how to run the concessions stand and make sure everything fits in the budget. Finally you give a presentation of your group recommendations for what DACC should do. Each team member will take on one of the following roles: Architect, Animal Researcher, Concession Stand Manager, Budget Consultant. The architect will have to design a new basketball court, including space for bleachers, so that the fans of the new sport have a place to sit as they watch their new favorite team...The DACC Jumpers! The techno-boots will give the players the ability to jump proportionally like any one type of animal. The Animal Researcher will have to research how far different animals can jump compared to their heights and decide which animal should be programmed into the boots. The Concession Stand Manager will have to give a basic plan for the concessions stand. You'll have to decide how much money to spend on different snack items based on projected sales. And speaking of projected sales, DACC would also like your team to have a Budget Consultant that will be looking at the budget ($35,000,000!!) and divide the money in a fair and proportional way. After your team has done all of the research, you'll have to come up with your final recommendations for DACC and present them. Can you give DACC the help they need? Can you design a BIG basketball court? Can you decide on how to build the techno-boots? Should there be Pepsi or Coke at the concession stand? How much of the 35 million dollars should be spent?
