A bit on the name:
Fujitaka means noble ivy (dear sister, I hope you read this.)

Fujitaka is Sakura's father. He's a professor of archaeology at Towa University. Though his love of his life, Nadeshiko, died when she was 27, he still carries on the duties of a single father to his beloved children. He puts up a new photo of her every day, and there are many because Nadeshiko used to be a model. Fujitaka is a reincarnation of Clow Reed, the wizard of the Clow Cards, and related through that to Ariel (Eriole). That is why the Book of the Clow was in his library. Fujitaka is very warm and forgiving, and never gets angry at anyone. His hobbies include cooking, sports, sewing and reading, wow! (an ideal house-man.)

Fujitaka has a sweet and caring personality, never seeming to get angry or irritated. He understands his children's difficulties with life as they grow up, and so has encouraged them in a good way. We think he must be holding back sometimes when he really should be sad or angry, though. Also we generally agree that as sweet as it is that he keeps a different picture of his wife out every day, he probably has a difficulty letting go of the past. It's sentimental, but get over it, man!

What do we think of Fujitaka Kinomoto?

Richard: Fujitaka is just the kind of guy I'd like for MY history professor. He's understanding and devoted, while most people I know just couldn't give two cents. It disappoints me that in the US anime they cut out a lot of character development on Fujitaka that is important for future reference, and in doing so have to cut out even more.

Viscay: Fujitaka is my third favourite character. He looks a lot like a thinner version of my dad and he's got a similar personality. I wonder if this was really just the sentimental half of Clow Reed that's missing from Eriol.

Riki: Very cute. Ideal man. If I ever were to get married, it'd be to a guy like him. He can cook, clean, take care of the kids; all the things I'd have to do. It'd be great to have someone to help out instead of plunk his lazy butt in front of the television set to work on hiss beer belly. Nadeshiko was very lucky.

I'm kind of pissed off about the pop-up box, but so far they're still the best provider we've found.
