Our plan is to eventually have a thorough run-down on the entire series with summaries and pictures from our favorite episodes, of course concentrating primarily on the third series, in which Hiragizawa appears. But of course, as you can see, we're not done yet. Card Captor Sakura consists of seventy episodes divided into three seasons and two movies, the first occurring some time around the second season and the second movie after all the cards have been captured. Though we can't really say it all yet since we're not done with this part, this is what we can tell you about the series, which yes, we do own all of.

The first series is where Sakura gets interested in the cards and begins to capture a bunch of them. She's not quite serious about it yet and comes up against most of her basic difficulties in this season, such as opposition, her weaknesses and such. Most of the main characters are introduced in this season, and for a while it even becomes as lively and repetitive as Sailor Moon, as if her cute little life means to go on so happily forever.

The second series is where the fun heightens a little. Introducing Mizuki Kaho, it presents us with more questions about the Clow Power and exactly what the meaning of the cards she catches is meant to be. In this season, though she's still catching cards, Sakura is learning how to use them, and it actually thinking to get things done. It is also in this series that hints about Touya and Yukito's relationship begin to pop up. Sakura is also appointed official Clow Mistress, which COULD quite happily be a stopping point for the series, say, if America went that far with it, they would most likely end it with this series and despite a few loose ends, the shallow fans would go away fulfilled.

Honestly, the third series can be seen as an adder and intensifier to the story, made for die-hard fans. The animation is slightly more impressive and a new story line is added. In this season, Sakura masters the cards and makes them her own. She gives her own power to the cards and in turn brings them truly under her control. This series explains the use of Mizuki Kaho as well as the background of the Clow Cards, Yue and Cerberus. It also heats up Touya and Yuki's relationship, and sheds more light on Sakura's family history.

I'm kind of pissed off about the pop-up box, but so far they're still the best provider we've found.
