A bit on the name: Yanagisawa means 'willow lagoon'. (creepy image, no?) Naoko is a very common Japanese name. Her particular kanji means 'exceptional beginning'.

Naoko is a nice, playful girl who likes reading anything she can get her hands on. She has an affinity for creepy things and ghost stories, much to the dismay of Sakura. She was the girl who saw the 'Illusion' ghost come out of the lake for the first time and got Eriol to tell the story of the snow woman. Naoko also likes to write stories, and wrote a nice monster into card capturing Sakura's evening!

Naoko, lively and bright-eyed is also in the cheerleading club with Sakura and Chiharu. She's talented at school and I heard somewhere that she plays tennis. But how come she's the only one of the group without a crush? Not that she needs one, but she's definately my type. Hey, Naoko, how about a date to the latest monster flick? We peg Naoko as a writer. Can you disagree?

What do we think of Naoko?

Richard: She's the kind of kid who heard stories of monsters under the bed and went down after hours to look for them. I can't say I was that brave, but I know a girl who was. Cool.

Viscay: I admit this is the kind of girl I'd have a crush on. She's so creative and adventurous! Don't you find that appealing?

Riki: I'm rather irritated; see, I designed a character after my younger sister a few years back for a comic book I'm writing; even called her Naoko after 'Naoko Takeuchi'. And she looks just like her!! Not fair. Well, goes to show that great artistic minds think alike.

I'm kind of pissed off about the pop-up box, but so far they're still the best provider we've found.
