  Ogata Megumi isn't famous all over the world for beauty or wit, but has touched the hearts of millions through her talented voice acting. A seiyuu is a Japanese voice actor, someone who characterizes and brings to life the cartoon characters we see in the mangas in animation. Ogata Megumi is one of those people, and has brought to us various famous and beloved anime characters such as Card Captor Sakura's Yukito, Sailor Moon's Tenou Haruka, Evangelion's Shinji, and Kodocha's Hayama.
Ogata Megumi was born on June 6th, 1965 in Tokyo, Japan. She had an terribly difficult life, dropping out of university, being disowned as a daughter by her own parents, and living under reportedly poor conditions, all for her love of acting. That's what we call a true starving artist!
What's especially amazing about Ogata is her wide range of voice possibilities. She often acts male roles, surprisingly convincing at them, as well as feminine characters.
