Mekhi Phifer Could Join Cast

Reporter According to Hollywood Reporter, ER producers are talking
with Mekhi Phifer ("O", "I Still Know What You Did Last
Summer") about joining the show as a regular. Also, Sharif
Atkins has been signed on to be a recurring character this season with
"the option of continuing on the show. Phifer is being eyed
for the role of a medical intern while Atkins will play a medical
student.
