Wind Water
Flying Star Theory You maybe already familiar with the Eight Types of Houses Theory makes use of both the Pa Kua and the Luo Shu Grid to do a Feng Shui audit of a home, office, etc. It is also called by several other names e.g. The Eight House Theory, The Eight Trigram Theory or The PakuaLuoshu Formula. The Flying Star School of Feng Shui is an extension of the Eight Types of Houses Theory which also uses the Luo Shu Square. One of the requirements is to use the `date of birth' of the home to analyse the house. The movement of two stars: a water star and a mountain star on a LuoSho grid of 3 by 3 grid is what gave the name of the theory i.e. The Flying Star Theory. One star on Health and the other on Prosperity. If a particular location is auspicous in combination with the water star, it is good to have a pool of water outside this location or clear space. It is no longer auspicious if a water star is weighed down by any objects with mass e.g. a wall, a large rock etc.. A mountain stair is like the "tortise" under the 4 Symbolic Animal's theory where there it represents a solid backing. For example, at the location, make use of the wall to hang something solid there to represent a mountain. How it is applied 1. It takes into consideration time factor e.g. the age of the building and period of assessment. This was equavalent to the explaination of the rise and fall of dynasties and empires. 2. When we consider the main entrance door, it is not simply the Eight cardinal points of North, South, East, West, North-East, North-West, South-East and South West. but instead, sub-divide each compass point further into three sectors of 15 degrees each. Example For North, you must identify if it is at 0 degrees, 15 degrees or at 345 degrees and then you start to plot a mathemathical model plus also calculate the movement of two other "Flying stars." There two other requirements : 1. You need to know the period home was built. For a twenty year assessment, you need to know the PERIOD the building was constructed. For example, if a building was built/constructed and completed between the years 1984 to 2003, it is in the age of 7. Therefore when the software ask for the period Between 1984 to 2003, don't worry whether the building is being built, constructed or completed so long as this activity falls between 1984 to 2003 simply select this field. 2. Determine the direction of the main entrance door. You first need to stand in the `center' of your house and as accurate as possible determine the compass degree of your house. Unlike the Eight House Theory where you only need to know that your main entrance is at North, South, East, North-East, North-West, South-East and South West. The Flying Star theory uses 24 compass directions with 15 degree increments, as shown in the picture atop this page.
This concept is a tat complicated for beginners. Details cannot be fully covered within this website. Incidentally, you must be very familiar with Eight Houses Theory before attempting to apply the Flying Star Theory.
