Childcare Services

The Office of CalWORKs and City College of San Francisco have many services to help you as a parent.

Quality childcare is available so you can attend classes and learn solid, marketable skills that are in great demand. There are ten subsidized full-time licensed childcare programs in operation at the City College locations.

You may be eligible to join the college's EOPS & CARE programs, which provide many additional services to single student parents, such as book vouchers, monthly fast passes, tutorial assistance and counseling.

The Child Development & Family Studies Department has a new publication entitled, "Child Care Guide for CCSF Students"! This brochure explains the process for securing child care in San Francisco, resources that are available to families, indicators of quality child care, regulations governing child care services and tips on securing financial assistance. The target audience is the CCSF student/parent or guardian in need of child care. This publication was created through a collaboration between the San Francisco Department of Human Services, the CalWORks Office at Evans and the Child Development & Family Studies Department. Additional copies are available through the Department at 239-3172.
