Matriculation
The purpose of matriculation is to help
students succeed at City College of San Francisco.
Matriculation steps:
1. Assessment and Placement Testing: English and mathematics
placement test.
All students enrolling in credit classes at City College of San
Francisco must take the credit placement test. Placement tests measure
your skill levels in English and English as a second language and
mathematics. The test results help to determine the appropriate
English and mathematics class for your level of expertise.
2.
Orientation: to City College of San Francisco.
City College of San Francisco provides orientations for all new students
taking credit classes. During orientation you will review your English
or English as a Second Language (ESL), Math and Algebra test results.
You will also learn of City College resources and services and how to
register for classes.
CalWORKs participants will be given a CalWORKs Orientation at the
time of their appointment with a CalWORKs Counselor.
3. Educational Planning: to City College of San Francisco
Counselor to develop an educational plan.
An educational plan outlines the courses required for the completion
of your chosen Certificate or Associate Arts Degree Program.

by semester courses.
- Hours
for classes, study-time and work.
- Expected
completion date of program.
