Hard Disk Disk Data Recovery Services & Information
Everesta Media Data Recovery Specialist has been performing Data
Recovery on desktop hard disk drives for over 10 years. We have recovered
data from just about every type of hard disk drive ever produced. When we
started back in 1996 we recovered data from a 20Mb Seagate that was
attached to a IBM PC XT Model. Today we routinely recover data from
desktop hard drives ranging in size from 10mb. to 500gb including IDE,
SATA, SCSI, ESDI, MFM and more.
Everyone faces a data loss situation at one time or
another. When it happens, you can count on IEveresta Media Data Recovery
to solve the problem. When you call on us to successfully recover your
data, you can rest assured that we will get it fixed the first time. Our
ability to recover data from desktop hard drives far surpasses other
companies. The reason? We've been around the longest and have seen
it all. Our accumulated knowledge base of technical information
and vast inventory of hard drives gives our engineers a great advantage in
completing a successful data recovery.
Practical Information on Hard
Disk Drives
When you buy a computer, you want to
be able to trust it. No one ever thinks about the risk of losing data.
Unfortunately, today's hard disk drives are prone to failure for a
number of reasons. Every year, hard drives increase in capacity, using
smaller and fewer parts. Today's average hard drive spins at 75 mph. and
the R/W heads are flying above the media at a distance of about 3
nanometers. What's this like? Like a 747 airplane flying 4 inches from
the ground!
Who Makes the Best Desktop
Hard Disk Drive ?
From a data recovery stand point, some
drives are better than others. In our experience, we have found that
Seagate Drives generally have the highest success rate
on data recovery. Also they have a 5 year warranty. Older Western
Digital are typically the lowest. The major reason data cannot be
recovered from a hard disk drive? Something called "Embedded servo's" -
more on that in our
glossary.
One other word of caution: Avoid thin Maxtor drives - they are
very poor performers.
Tips for Failed Hard Disk
Drives:
Never remove the cover from a hard
disk drive. It should be opened only in a class 1A clean room by an
Everesta Media Date Recovery Specialist. In fact many drives will
lose the servo just by removing the cover. In addition, do not:
-
Place the drive in a freezer. This rarely helps and
can cause more damage.
-
Please do not
recover data with yourself, or give your drive to your friends for
checking. They can cause more damage.
-
Do not Continue powering up a drive you believe has been
damaged.
-
Turn off your computer, keep your drive /storage
media. Contact us at 021-78887427 ; 70542741 to help you!
