Haven
Call of the King
for: Playstation 2
Haven: Call of the King is on of the best games I played recently. What
I liked about it was the multitude of things you can do, including racing,
shooting, and more.
Haven is the main character in this game. He is a slave on a planet ruled
by Vetch, an evil overlord. He starts having dreams of ringing a bell to
summon Athellon, a former king of the planet. This game is Haven's quest
to ring the bell and free his people.
As Shining Blade will tell you, some of this game bears similarity to Jak
and Daxter. The gameplay is one of those things, and though there is enough
evidence to support Shining Blade's claim, I wouldn't go as far as calling
the game a rip off. The story scenes of the game could be better, and why
does Haven have a stupid grin in every scene? I still didn't beat it, so
I can't tell you how it ends. If I did beat it, I wouldn't tell you anyway,
because that would ruin the fun of playing it.
I definetely recommend getting this game in the near future. This game is
better than it seems, and it's definetely worth checking out. Go get it!!!
