GRACE WATERHOUSE 1813 - 1890

Grace was born at Hope on the 3rd April, 1813
and baptised at
St Peter's, Hope on the 2nd May, 1813. She was the second child of Benjamin
and Martha.
Grace married Matthew Dawson, who was born at Dunge near Macclesfield,
Cheshire in 1800, on the 17th April 1834
again at St Peter's Church.

Matthew was a farmer and after their marriage
they lived at Bridge End Farm in the village of Derwent,
a few miles away from Hope. Unfortunately this village now lies beneath
Ladybower reservoir.

Grace and Matthew had eleven children, all of whom were born at Derwent:
Mary born 1 August 1834, baptised 31 August 1834
Joseph baptised 4 August 1835

Matthew died at Derwent on the 7th December, 1886 and Grace died at Derwent
on the 3rd January, 1890.
