 William Waterhouse

William Waterhouse was born at Derwent on
the 19th July, 1841 and baptised at St James, Derwent on the 28th August
1841. William emigrated to New Zealand and severed most links with his family, although he did write to his brother Ezra in 1888 telling of his impending third marriage. The following two marriages are known, the third remains a mystery. Emily Wilson on the 24th September, 1873 at Dunedin and they had three children: Frank William born 1875 Flora Jane born 1876 Arthur Matthew born 1877 Sarah Matilda Birch in 1888 at North Otago no known children from this marriage William died in 1921 |

( known as Edward ) was born at Derwent
on the 24th July, 1844 and baptised at St James', Derwent on the 26th July, 1844. Edward was married to Alice Poynton and he was employed as a coachman. They lived in Hadfield/Dinting and had nine children: John born 1869 William November 1870 and died 15 February 1873 Hannah born June 1872 and died 6 January 1874 and twins Albert and Mary born October 1874. Albert died 23 November 1874 Joseph born 1879 Annie born 1880 Fred born 1885 Nellie born 1887 |

Thomas
was born on the 5th October, 1846 and baptised at St James', Derwent on
the 25th October, 1846. Thomas was a
wheelwright and during his marriage to Martha lived in a number of
places including Ecclesfield, Deepcar, Bradfield, Dore and Stocksbridge.

was born at Derwent on the 28th June, 1851 and baptised at St James',
Derwent on the 10th August, 1851. In 1873 she married Benjamin Robinson
who was a Policeman, he was born in 1848 in New Mills, Derbyshire. |
