The Act of Seeing with Ones Own Eyes: Dir. Sam Brakhage. This rather disturbing 30min documentary/direct cinema piece delves into the notion of the inherent morbid curiosity of humankind. It is simply a silent piece showing three different autopsies in graphic detail. by simply watching this you're proving Brakhage's theory. Pure documentary! (1971)

The Best of Banned from Television: An amazing 2 hour compilation of all sorts of caught on camera nastiness. This has everything from car crashes and other accidents to suicides and Hostage situations. All the footage is in excellent quality.

Death Files: Very matter of fact Japanese Mondo madness, you thought Endurance and Takeshi's Castle were hard to watch? This one contains all the usual Mondo stuff i.e. the dodgy pseudo-intellectual presenter and the staple accident aftermaths and road traffic victims etc... Japanese Language without subtitles.

Death Woman + Death Body: This is a totally nasty pair of Japanese Mondo movies. The first Death Woman is the usual stuff, but focuses mainly on dead women (accidents, murders and suicides) and on the autopsy of one woman in particular urrgh! and Death Body is again the usual assortment of mayhem of all varieties. This is truly nasty stuff and in pretty nice quality too! Japanese without subtitles. 

La Donna nel Mondo: Women of the World. Dir. Paolo Cavara, Gualtiero Jacopetti & Franco Prosperi. A playful departure from their usual Mondo films, focusing on women (and their various body parts) from around the world. This is the full and complete original Italian version containing all the footage missing from other prints. Italian Language without subtitles. (1963) [BA]

Eurotika: Excellent UK television series exploring the exploitational depths of European Horror and Cult cinema. 

This is all eight episodes, running 3 hours so they count as two films. Full to the brim with fantastic clips and very nice quality. Widescreen.

Faces of Death: Full 100 min version. This is the infamous 1978 Mondo film. Full to the brim of the usual Mondo set pieces. This is the full Dutch version not the UK Pre-Cert. [BA]

Faces of Death III: Titled. Face a la mort III. Dir. Conan le Cilaire. Another entry into this lurid film series, quite a lot of nasty footage. This print has French narration without subtitles. [BA]

Facez of Death 2000: Nasty mondo shockumentary from the US, mostly Asian footage, Nasty! Definitely NOT for the purpose of entertainment. (2000)

Forgotten Silver: Dir. Peter Jackson. A superb Mockumentary about the true pioneer of New Zealand's early cinema. The documentary purports to have discovered the once lost and forgotten film footage of this great pioneer who it is said maybe as great as Wells himself, in a shed and showcases it for the first time! typical Jackson humor in this almost real documentary so real in fact it almost had the Australian film commission fooled as well as several film journals and newspapers! Fantastic! Includes extras. Widescreen. (1999)

Goodbye Uncle Tom: English Version: Dir. Gualtiero Jacopetti & Franco Prosperi. Probably the most controversial of all of Jacopetti and prosperi's collaborations as well as their first feature film. Using real historical events and characters, the Director's bring to life the true horrors of the American slave trade. This is the original 123 minute English version. Widescreen (1971)

Goodbye Uncle Tom: Director's Cut: Dir. Gualtiero Jacopetti & Franco Prosperi. This is the original fully restored 136 minute director's cut of the film, reinstating more than 13 minutes of race-war politics. Widescreen subtitled. (1971)

Godfathers of Mondo: Dir. David Gregory. Fascinating documentary charting the rise and fall of Jacopetti and Prosperi through the making of all their films and all the positive and negative publicity in between. Featuring  Widescreen (2003)

Häxan: Dir. Benjamin Christensen. Superbly ground breaking Danish/Swedish documentary exploring the Witchcraft of the middle ages through striking and dramatic vignettes. This is the fully restored Swedish Film Institute version and is far superior to any other edition ever released, all previously missing footage has been restored as has the original colour tinting and musical score. Excellent example of silent documentary filmmaking - See also Witchcraft Through the Ages. (1922)

Hell on Earth: Re: The Devils (Ken Russell) This is the superb UK Channel 4 documentary focusing on the history and controversy surrounding Ken Russell's The Devils. Put together and thoroughly researched by film critic Mark Kermode (Fear of God) the documentary charts the films battle with both censors and critics and features interviews with Russell as well as members of the cast. This documentary also showcases never before seen recently discovered footage including the extremely controversial Rape of Christ scene that was thought lost forever. An essential documentary not just for the invaluable insight into the film and its history but also the priceless deleted footage. (2002)

Hollywood Ghost Stories: Dir. James Forsher. Fantastic documentary presented by John Carradine and featuring interviews with Elke Sommer and William Peter Blatty examining some of the real 'fact' based stories surrounding the making of films such as The Exorcist, The Amityville Horror and The Entity etc... It goes into the real stories behind the films as well as on set hauntings such as in the case of The Exorcist. It also takes a look at Hollywood stars from the golden era that are said to still haunt their original homes and Hollywood soundstages. Fun and interesting documentry that also contains a wealth of clips, interviews and footage. Original Fullscreen. (1986)

Jean Rollin/Brigitte Lahaie Collectors Tape: This tape consists of three documentaries. The excellent UK documentary Eurotika: Virgins and Vampires (24 mins) A German documentary Bloody Lips and Iron Roses (35 mins) in English and German with English subtitles, also a 30 min interview with Rollin and Lahaie. Also included are trailers for Raisins de la morte, Fascination and Requiem for a Vampire and a Brigitte Lahaie X rated gallery.

Joe D'Amato: Totally Uncut: Dir. Roger A. Fratter. This Itlalian NOCTURNO Cinema Documentary details the life and films of the legendary Joe D'Amato (Aristide Massacessi) Through interviews with the man himself, regular cast members such as Laura Gemser and clips from many of his films.  Italian Lang English Subtitled. NTSC.

Let Me Die a Woman: Dir. Doris Wishman. This, God help us, is a Doris Wishman mondo-style documentary on sex change, complete with surgical footage I still can't watch. A sort of "GLEN OR GLENDA" goes to Hell. Dr. Leo Wollman, "MD, PHD. doctor. surgeon. psychologist, minister, and medical writer," lectures us from cue cards. discusses dildos. and acts as tour guide through a rather motley group of transsexuals, occasionally prodding them with his pointer. Amidst case study reenactments, he also introduces us to Debbie, a former sailor with a speech impediment, who poses nude, inserts a metal cone up her vagina, takes a needle in the butt, and spreads herself for a closeup examination with Leo's finger and some lube. Mario Bava: Maestro of the Macabre: This is a fantastic documentary! Full of clips, pictures and discussion about 'little Hitchcock'. Includes invaluable contributions from Lamberto and Roy Bava (Son and Grandson), Tim Lucas, Joe Dante, John Carpenter and Daria Nicolodi amongst others. The documentary explores many aspects of his life and career whilst specifically focusing on some of his films. Narrated by The UK's Mark Kermode. Image DVD. Widescreen. (2001)

Filmed in all four corners of the globe the film explores the culture of life and death as well as the taboos of sex and religion.. and much more. This is the beautifully remastered version. Mondo Cane: Dir Gualtiero Jacopetti, Franco E. Prosperi and Paolo Cavara. This is the original Italian version from Mondadori and is a fantastic looking print. Italian Language without English subtitles. (1963) [BA]

Mondo Cane 2: Mondo Pazzo. Dir. Gualtiero Jacopetti & Franco Prosperi. Compiled from outtake footage from the filming of the first film and newly shot sequences, this sequel offers more of the same, just as shocking and just as groundbreaking as the first. remastered version. Original 1.33:1 ratio. (1964)

Savage Man Savage Beast: Ultime grida dalla savana: la grande caccia. Dir. Antonio Climati & Mario Morra. A nasty and unrelenting Mondo film filmed on location around the world. This one mainly centers around poaching etc... The highlight (if you can call it that) is a man being eaten by a pack of lions! (1975)

Sexy Proibitissimo: Dir. Gino Mordini. A rather loose and lighthearted look at striptease throughout the ages from cave woman stripping for her man through ancient Rome and the middle ages (including Dracula and Frankenstein) to the future with a space age striptease! The American written narrative is a true testament to tongue-in-cheek, a scream! This is the Black and white version although there is a colour version out there (1964)

Shocking Asia 1: A compilation of Far Eastern taboo breaking stories and people, Very nasty at times! Czech import therefore Czech language without Subtitles. [BA]

Shocking Asia 2: The Last Taboo: More of the same but with a darker spin and more sinister subject matter. Again quite nasty. Not a Czech import and in English. [BA]   

SPK: Despair: This is the extremely rare tape of SPK containing their usual mix of bizarre and often sick imagery and live performance footage combined with early video effects and their industrial music. An absolute must for collectors, a real rarity! (198?) [BA] 

SPK: Human Postmortem: Two Autopsy Films: This is a dupe from the original 1982 XXX S.P.K tape. As the title suggests this is simply two filmed autopsies accompanied by SPKs Industrial music. Similar to Der Weg Nach Eden without the documentary framework. Very graphic! (1982) [BA]

Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Shocking Truth: This superb Blue Underground documentary explores in depth every aspect of the original Chainsaw Massacre's production from funding, set design, casting and filming through to the film's final release including a brief retrospective of the various sequels.  The documentary features interviews with technicians, all the principal members of the cast and much, much more including plenty behind the scenes footage. Overall an excellent, in depth look into the history of one of the most enduring Horror movies ever made. (1999)  

Der Weg Nach Eden: The Way to Eden. A superbly morbid Austrian film from Director Robert-Adrian Pejo. What happens with a person after his death? What does the final destination look like? What happens with our bodies? How are we prepared for our last voyage?" A film on how we deal with death. The aging and the decay of the body, free of taboos. Death as a part of life and as the last companion. Janos Keser, the modern Charon, occupation: master of dissecting! (Austrian film comission summary) This is an extremely disturbing and 'in your face' documentary about Janos Keser, a pathologist in a Budapest hospital. German Language without subtitles. Witchcraft Through the Ages: Dir. Benjamin Christensen. This is the re-edited version of Christensen's original classic, shortened by almost 30mins, narrated by William S. Burroughs and with a new soundtrack featuring Jean-Luc Ponty. See also Haxan.(1968)
