Valentina goes to visit Baba Yaga at her home, where the floor opens into a bottomless pit. Crimson Rivers: Dir. Mathieu Kassovitz. Fantastic French thriller starring Jean Reno and Vincent cassel who's paths cross during seemingly distant cases, Cassel investigating misdemeanors and Reno, a vicious serial Killer case at an isolated University. The Cynic, The Rat and The Fist: Il Cinico, l'infame, il violento. Dir. Umberto Lenzi. This is a classic example of the Italian cop film and stars all the staple crime caper actors such as Tomas Milian, Maurizio Merli and John Saxon. What little plot there is amongst the shootings, the car chases and the prevailing profanity, involves Milian stealing a ton of cash from Saxon and his gang and trying to steal his business. Needless to say Milian frames Saxon, who ends up in jail only to escape and exact his revenge on Milian!
Darkness: Dir. Jaume Balagueró. Balagueró's superb follow up to Los Sin Nombre. A young family moves from America to live in Spain, a mother, an unstable father, an inquisitive and sensitive daughter and a young son that has a tendency toward macabre drawings. But the idyllic setting isn't what it seems, especially for the daughter who detects an overwhelming sense of danger within the house. The father becomes more and more unstable, the son's drawings become more unsettling as are the cuts and bruises about his body and his new irrational fear of the dark. The daughter investigates into the house's past and discovers a dark and dangerous secret that relates to the murder of six children 40 years previously, but the circle wasn't completed then, one of the children got away and it's only now that the new family has moved in and the eclipse of the sun is due that the circle can be completed again. Fantom Kiler: Dir Roman Nowicki. The Giallo genre is alive and well not only in Italy with Argento's NONHOSONNO, but also in Poland of all places. The Giallo genre hasn't seen an entry this misogynistic since Fulci's New York Ripper. Session 9: Dir. Brad Anderson. Five men begin work removing and making safe the asbestos of an old decommissioned, almost gothic looking insane asylum. Time is limited and they must finish within a week to receive their bonus therefore tensions are high especially when each of them is also battling their own personal demons. Fantastically atmospheric in its use of imagery and often chilling. Widescreen (2002)
The Shunned House: Dir. Ivan Zuccon. Based on a Lovecraft tale, this Italian (filmed in English on Digital) production revolves around three writers from different time periods, working in the same oppressive house. Gradually and for rather confusing reasons they begin to go mad... Perhaps it's the women in their lives or maybe it's the house itself? It's been compared to the work of Fulci and labeled fantastic... It's neither, it is however mildly interesting in so much as charting the progression of Italian Horror cinema. Widescreen (2003)

NONHOSONNO: Argento's latest Giallo which is reputed to be a long awaited return to form. Max Von Sydow is Moretti a retired detective whose last case was the Dwarf Murders, 17 years earlier. Moretti's fears that the true killer was never caught are proved when the killers hallmark murders begin to happen again. Having promised Giacomo, the son of the last victim 17 years ago, that he would bring the killer to justice, Moretti comes out of retirement in order to help Giacomo get to the bottom of the murders and find the true identity of the savage killer. This is Argento's best effort since Opera. Nonhosonno is extremely well shot, with incredibly savage murders and a typically convoluted narrative. Add this to the perfect score from Goblin and you have a perfect Argento package, just like the good old days, superb! English language or Italian with English subtitles Widescreen.
Opera: Superb Italian DVD version of Dario Argento's seminal classic. This is a longer and more graphic version than the old UK tape. This is the Dutch DVD version, Totally UNCUT unlike the US release and includes Dario Argento's World of Horror completely UNCUT as an extra! Widescreen. [BA]
Suspiria: This is the ultimate version of one of Argento's best films! The film itself is totally revamped for its 25th anniversary. Remastered from the original film negative the picture and sound are stunning and the film has never looked so good, especially in its original 2.35:1 aspect ratio. [BA] This also includes a Suspiria 25th Anniversary documentary. This features Dario Argento, Daria Nicolodi, members of Goblin as well as stars , discussing various aspects of the film. Widescreen English or Italian with English Subtitles. (1964)
Dr. Goldfoot and the Girl Bombs:
Five Dolls for an August Moon: Perhaps one of Mario Bava's more curious entries into the mystery/giallo genre. A group of 'well to do' people are isolated on an island in a jazzy beach house, playing various twisted party games. The point of the party? To obtain a revolutionary chemical formula, sure to make its owner rich! Therefore various guests bid, backhand and out-bid other guests in an attempt to obtain the formula. The result? Murder! and lots of it! executed only in the manner with which Bava can! This is the UNCUT European version. Specify Italian Language/English subtitled or English dubbed. Widescreen.

Hercules in the Haunted World: One of Mario Bava's entries into the Peplum genre and not missing any of his trademark genius photography. The ancient and mythical setting allows Bava to really go to town on the mise en scene. Hercules must journey to the pits of Hades in order to seize the magical stone that will liberate his love from the clutches of darkness. This is the slightly different US version of the film from an old US tape. (1961)
Hercules in the Haunted World: Ercole al centro della terra. Dir. Mario Bava. Unlike the above version this is the original European version of Bava's second feature. The film and Bava's sumptuous style truly come through in this beautiful Widescreen print. The documentary explores many aspects of his life and career whilst specifically focusing on some of his films. Narrated by The UK's Mark Kermode. Image DVD. Widescreen. (2001)
Operazione Pura: Kill Baby...Kill. Dir. Mario Bava. This is the superb brand new Lamberto Forni tape fresh from Italy and is the complete uncut version in Widescreen! This is far superior to the VCI DVD (I may at some point combine the two to make a very nice widescreen, English language print). Italian without subtitles Widescreen. [BA]
Planet of the Vampires: Mario Bava’s rare and absolutely fantastic Sci-fi outing. This is clearly one of the inspirations for Ridley Scott's Alien. from an Out Of Print UK tape. [BA]
Planet of the Vampires: Upgrade. This is the recent US DVD of Mario Bava's superb inspiration for Alien. This transfer is fantastic and retains all of Bava's trademark cinematography in gloriously vivid colours. Includes AIP Trailer Widescreen.
Rabid Dogs: Cani arrabbiati. Mario Bava. A standout film in Bava's cannon for its gritty realism and relative minimalism in comparison to his overtly baroque productions such as Blood and Black Lace. But Bava's fingerprints are still all over the film in some inspired camerawork. A group of criminals attempt an armed robbery which inevitably goes wrong when their getaway car breaks down. The man hijack another car along with its two passengers. The remainder of the film is based around the robbers along with their hostages, trying to escape the authorities and is set almost exclusively in the cramped confines of the car. Boring you may think? But this is Mario Bava! Superb, Must see! Widescreen Subtitled.
Shock:

The Whip and The Body: Bava's Wonderful gothic horror with Christopher Lee, has been cut all over the world due to the whipping scenes. Original UNCUT European version with extras. Widescreen Subtitled or in English, please specify.
A Lizard in a Woman's Skin: Una Lucertola con la pelle di donna - Schizoid. Dir. Lucio Fulci. Fully Uncut version. Brazilian beauty Florinda Bolkan (DON'T TORTURE A DUCKLING) stars as Carol Hammond, a woman fearing she has lost her mind. Despite the repeated assurance of her psychiatrist Dr. Kerr (George Rigaud), Carol finds it quite difficult to shake her recurring nightmares of perversity and horror. Things take a dramatic turn for the worse when Carol's latest nightmare- in which she stabs her disruptive, noisy hippie neighbor Julia (Anita Strindberg, a star of many giallos of this period)- becomes all too real. Carol is soon apprehended when some of her belongings (including a paper knife and a fur coat) have turned up missing, only to be found at the crime scene. But it wouldn't be a giallo if things were so simple. Contained in the increasingly complex latticework of the murder are an unfaithful husband (Jean Sorel), a murderous, psychotic hippie and an ugly case of blackmail involving a member of the Hammond family. As the investigation progresses, Carol's nightmares continue and more bodies pile up, until the true murderer is discovered. The greatest film of Fulci's Career (in my opinion) and probably one of the most important entries into the Giallo genre as a whole. Widescreen (1971)
Aenigma:
From the German DVD therefore it’s in German with no subtitles. A detailed
synopsis is provided. Widescreen.
Beatrice Cenci: Dir. Lucio Fulci.

La
Casa nel Tempo: The House of Clocks. Lucio Fulci’s TV movie
about a group of young thugs that invade a creepy old house, but the elderly
inhabitants aren’t what they seem, quite a lot of gore for a TV Movie! Must
have for collectors! Italian without subtitles Widescreen. [BA]
Conquest: La Conquista. Dir. Lucio Fulci. A modern entry into the Italian Peplum genre from Lucio Fulci. Loosly based on the Hercules adventures of the 60's and 70's but injecting more adult elements such as scantily clad women and copious amounts of gore. An evil woman wreaks havoc on theis mythical world by sending her henchmen out to rape, piliage and generally cause havoc. It is up to two heroes to put things right and save the world. This film possibly contains some of Fulci's most impressive work in the form of superbly shot action scenes and its surrealist overtones! NTSC.
Don’t
Torture a Duckling:
Lucio Fulci classic Giallo, one of his best. Widescreen
The Eroticist: Dir. Lucio Fulci. Made between A Lizard in a Woman's Skin and Don't Torture a Duckling. Fulci made his entry into the popular Italian genre of 'sexy' comedies. A senator running for presidency has a rather odd and completely uncontrollable habit... pinching women's bottoms! He can't help himself, whether it's a princess or a wealthy ambassador's ageing wife, he can't help it. A press photographer catches him in the act and begins to bribe him. Eventually he admits himself into a convent for spiritual recuperation... only for his problem to get worse! A very amusing comedy and definitely interesting to see some of Fulci's work outside of the horror genre... but it's still distinctly Fulci. Very rare in such excellent quality. Widescreen (1972)
Four of the Apocalypse: I Quattro dell'apocalisse. Dir. Lucio Fulci. Superb edition of one of Fulci's few Westerns, often considered as one of his overall best, totally uncut and either in English or Italian with English subs. Includes Trailer and featurette. Widescreen. (1975).
The
House by the Cemetery: Lucio Fulci fully uncut version and much better
for it! Widescreen.

Lucio Fulci Collector Tape: This is a compilation tape containing various bits etc... mainly from Italian TV of Fulci films, programmes etc.. Very bad quality.
Massacre Time: Tempo di massacro. Dir. Lucio Fulci. This is the first of Fulci's three Westerns. This is the violent story of prospector Franco Nero who returns home to help his alcoholic half-brother and finds a maniacal, bullwhip-wielding tyrant controlling the land and his sibling. Nero joins forces with his brother to try and beat the sadistic madman and his followers. This is not the poorly dubbed version that is available on DVD, This is a good quality Widescreen subtitled version making this already excellent film even better. Widescreen Subtitled. (1966)
Murder to the Tune of Seven Black Notes: The Psychic - 7 note in nero. Dir. Lucio Fulci. Still relatively unknown Giallo from Fulci that is much underrated but very rarely seen. A newly married woman, who possesses psychic abilities, begins having strange visions upon moving into her new marital home. She sees visions of a woman being brutally killed and walled up inside the living room. Acting on her vision, she breaks open the wall and finds a skeleton. Her husband becomes the prime suspect for the murder, whilst his wife and her therapist investigate the matter in order to clear his name. A superb Giallo from Fulci, maybe even one of his finest films! Widescreen (1977)
Murder-Rock - Dancing Death: Murderock - uccide a passo di danza. Dir. Lucio Fulci. This print is from the Japanese Laserdisc. (1984)

This one sees a young boys father brutally murdered in front of his eyes. The young boy grows up, takes revenge on his fathers killer and becomes the most feared bounty hunter in the West! (1978)
The
Smuggler: Fulci’s only gangster film and has some very bloody
shootings. From an Out Of Print UK tape.
Touch of Death: Quando Alice ruppe lo - When Alice Broke the Mirror. Dir. Lucio Fulci. Typically over the top gory effort from Fulci. This originally made for TV (don't let that put you off) film concerns a gambling addicted womanizing murderer that is in the habit of eating his victims! (1988)
Voices

has some nice dream sequences. From an Out Of Print UK tape.

Faceless: Dir. Jess Franco. This is both a remake of Franco's earlier Gritos en la Noche and his homage to Eye Without a Face. Dr Flamand is the best surgeon in the plastic surgery filed and has restored the beauty of many a Parisian woman. Unfortunately his sister is afflicted with a hideous facial disfigurement which he is unable to improve because she needs a total skin graft. Soon after (obviously) dead headless women begin to litter the streets of Paris! Excellent film with an excellent cast including Telly Savalas and Brigitte Lahaie. Widescreen. (1988)
Faceless: Dir Jess Franco. This is an upgrade print from the Japanese VHS. Better quality than the above but in Fullscreen 1.33:1 rather than Widescreen. Highly recommended. (1988)
The Female Vampire: Hard Version: Lusterne Vampire im Spermarausch. Dir. Jess Franco. Widescreen German Language. (1973)
Jack the Ripper: Dir. Jess Franco. This is the infamously lavish production of one of the most enduring crime mysteries. Franco does it glorious justice here in the only way he knows how! (1976)
Killer Barbys: Dir. Jess Franco. Franco's rather bizarre Horror Musical. A band... the Killer Barbys' tour bus breaks down on a remote road. They of course) take refuge in a mysterious castle owned by an ethereal countess who bathes in blood in order to stay young. Unfortunately for the Killer Barbys the countess has just run out of blood and lucky for the countess the Barbys are easy pickings! Plenty of typical Franco here to keep the die-hard fans interested as well as naked women running through castles! Spanish language without Subtitles. (1998)
Mansion of the Living Dead: La Mansion De Los Muertos Vivientes. Dir. Jess Franco. This is Franco's entry into the Tombs of the Blind Dead/Templar vein. A group of women holidaying in Spain stumble on a Templar site. Loads of atmosphere and of course nudity, lesbian sex and women being raped by long dead Templar nights! oooh! Spanish Language. (1982)

Things start to turn nasty when one of the members of the audience tries on a prop mask on display in the lobby, cuts herself and evolves into a flesh hungry demon! soon enough it's a full scale demon invasion with the remaining members of the audience fighting for survival.
