Water

The permanent creek on Miranda Park.

The lifeblood of any property.

We take water for granted in the City .....

..... but don't realise how much we use and how important it is.

Having easy access to permanent water is a very valuable asset.

Miranda Park is well watered and has never run dry during a drought.

The permanent creek provides all service water to the house.

The northern boundary of the property is a permanent spring fed creek that provides the house with all its service water (toilets, showers, laundry, gardens, etc).

A large rainwater tank piped to the house gives sweet water through a separate tap.

This has never run dry during our 12 years.

There are five dams on the property, four large (one large enough to canoe in) and one small.

1 of 5 dams.1 of 5 dams

The largest of 5 dams on Miranda Park.

Dams and tanks alone are usually not enough to supply all the water needs of a property like Miranda Park .... unless you have very large and multiple tanks, which can become expensive.

Consequently the permanent creek on Miranda Park is a valuable asset indeed.
