SUCCESS

Success:
What does success mean to you? A lot of people think that success has to do with how much money is in your bank account or what kind of car you drive. If that is what you define as success than perhaps you won't ever be as successful as you'd like to be. You will always want more. You may define it as maintaining a healthy partnership, with a house and two cats. Everyone is different, which is a good thing. I don't want to be like anyone else. Success is not that you have achieved all of your goals but that you have found your purpose and are living it. Earl Wilson said, "Success is simply a matter of luck, ask any failure." So success is that you get up every morning and try your best to get better.
It seems that there is a common theme through each of these sections. Developing into the person you want to become has a lot to do with mental attitude. Your attitude is your choice. A lot of people walk around every day thinking that someone gave them their attitude. They will give you a dozen reasons why they are the way they are. "I got up on the wrong side of the bed." They blame the bed. If you get up on the wrong side of bed, get back in and get out on the right side. The only person responsible for making you happy is you. Life is a process. You have to be willing and committed to yourself and getting better. You have to find your own meaning of success and reach for it. Victory doesn't go to the team that wants it. It goes to the team that wills it.
True commitment begins when you reach the point of not knowing how we can possibly go on, and decide to do it anyway. It does take effort to get through all this. If you don't change, nothing in your life will. If getting your annual raise when ever minimum wage goes up is good enough to you than that's great, for you. You will have no worries because you won't have any challenges. Get up, go to work, come home, go to bed. Get up, go to work, come home, go to bed. I believe everyone wants more than that. Everyone deep down inside of them has a burning desire to be somebody. You can probably tell that I'm all about personal growth. Growth is essential to your life so that you don't fade away like a dieing candle.

Champion Creed - Tom Hopkins

"I am not judged by the number of times I fail, but by the number of times I succeed. And the number of times I succeed is in direct proportion to the number of times I can fail and keep trying."

Just because they told you you're average and ordinary doesn't mean you have to be. Remember that your past doesn't equal your future. You can be or have anything you want, as long as you are willing to work hard at attaining it. Making the changes in ourselves is way less painful than living with the problem that's causing the pain in the first place. It's not about how many times will fall down; it's how many times we can pick ourselves up. Sell out to your life. You can be as successful as you want to be. Let other people live small lives, not you.
