:::South Carolina Moms::: South Carolina Moms is an online & offline group founded by Mrs. Kimberly Cotton in March of 2001. She created this group in hopes of bring Moms all throughout South Carolina together. Kimberly has appointed me as a co-moderator of the group and head of events in Sumter County. Which I think is totally cool. I also keep the website up and I also designed a t-shirt for us. Brandi, who is the list moderator, is in charge of getting the shirts ready amoung several other things. We have playdates set up for specific areas so we don't have people traveling 100 miles for a 30 minute playdate. So far our most active areas are Columbia --of course-- and Sumter. We have members from all over the state. Members come and go. Some post alot and come to the play dates while others never post because they are just looking for somebody in there area and never come to play dates. You do not have to have younger children to join this group. We are Moms of all ages and have children of all ages. Although most of the kids in the group are younger, there are several Moms who have older kids who need playmates as well. I'll hush up now and send you on to the offical site. On a side note, I would like to thank Lena for always coming up with ideas for us in the Sumter area to do and keeping track of the event calendar. Thank you bunches!!! The group has just recently had it's first birthday. We are currently over 40 members strong. Although, not all members are active, we still have the numbers.
