Silver Dragons to Remain in GA
Welcome to Atlanta
"Welcome to Atlanta where the players play" is how the song starts off and it appears that the Silver Dragons will be among those players. A reluctant General Manager Mark Trollinger was all but one signature away from uprooting his team and relocating to Phoenix after receiving a call from the CDFL's relocation committee. Plans to built a new state of the art facility called Sprint PCS Stadium were set into motion by the BEASTHATERS Interest Group of Arizona. A recent cross country fan support tour took Trollinger to Tempe, Kauai, Las Vegas, Charlotte and Memphis. During this trip Trollinger decided to ignore the recommendations of the CDFL Relocation Committee and remain in Atlanta. "The Committee felt a move to Phoenix would increase fan support and rekindle the rivalry with the Tempe Tantrums", said Trolliger. "Hayashi has a strong fan base here in Atlanta, and despite a dismal second half last year, I feel the fans will come out to show their support again this year. I will guarantee every Silver Dragon fan that I am committed to having a successful draft and returning this team to the top of the league immediately. As far as rekindling our rivalry with Tempe, I say the rivalry is still there - not only with Tempe, but with most teams in the league. The CDFL is composed of a few tiers of teams. The Silver Dragons, typically are at the top of those tiers along with North Coast, Wilmington and Jon Werner's Alvada team. The Shakers have been Hayashi's oldest, hardest fought rivalry since the first season back in 1990. That is a game that we always get up for and the Shakers always get up for us. The Resurrection has long held the respect of Silver Dragon management, although a heated rivalry has never taken place. Alvada is an upstart who wants to build a rivalry with us. He asked for it last season and by taking the title last year, has earned a shot in 2003. The next tier of teams are Tempe and Wallachia. Former teams like Hannan Trace fall in this category as well. Teams that are contenters but not quite there. Tempe and Hannan Trace have always had big rivalries with Hayashi, although neither could enjoy the success they attempted to proclaim. The remaining teams bring up the bottom, and this is where the smack talkers live. Jackson, the only two time CDFL champ hasn't seen glory days since Shaker had hair. Yet, he talks smack to the Silver Dragons. Steubenville in 14 seasons hasn't seen the daylight yet from their eternal cellar placement. Apex, well they are good for a practice squad and while they try to talk minimal smack, the lose when they step off their short team bus. The Buckeye Beasts - yes, the good ole' Buckeye Beasts. What can I say about them? Over-rated, over-talked, Quarterbacks that are as old as Mom Ross and their running backs? As slow as a McLaughlin in a race. Pitiful, yet the ownership continues to talk enough Smack for everyone in the league. Jerry Starlin can only accomplish this because he has defeated Hayashi on the final game of the season two years in a row. Last year after a hot start, a cold 6 game winning streak left Buckeye ahead of Hayashi in the winning column. Did he do that? No - he can only claim one win against us last year. He has about as much clue as Inspector Gadget. Point is - when Hayashi wins a game, it is typically just another W. When an opponent defeats Hayashi, it makes their season. I am everyone's rival, but very few are mine. Beware Starlin, the season is approaching soon and like "Uptime", the Silver Dragons are comin' at ya!" -->

New Vice President of Public Relations
For the third time in five seasons, the Silver Dragons have a new Vice President of Public Relations. Originally it was a position held by Albert Belle, but the past two seasons the Rock was in charge. After successfully launching his Hollywood career in part due to his Silver Dragon exposure, the Rock is leaving Hayashi. He may be signed on to do commercials for the Silver Dragon's upcoming season. General Manager Mark Trollinger quickly filled the position today in a news conference. Trollinger announced the position had been filled by Iraqi Minister of Information Mohammed Saeed al-Sahaf. Trollinger attended the conference, while Saeed answered questions via satellite. In addition to regular public relations duties, Saeed is also thought to target the Silver Dragons nemisis of late, the Buckeye Beasts. When asked about his thoughts on the Buckeye Beasts franchise and how they stack up against Hayashi, Saeed said "There are no Buckeye infidels to compete with Hayashi. Never! Beasts are cowards and bastards! Silver Dragons will crush them like tiny insects. I spit at Buckeye!

Show Your Support!
After the completion of a disappointing season which saw the 7-4 Silver Dragons close the 2002 - 2003 campaign out with a six game losing streak and finishing in 9th place, Buckeye Beast's General Manager took some verbal shots at Hayashi's players, coaches and more directly, at General Manager Mark Trollinger. Although Trollinger and Starlin took turns at each other via the media, Trollinger gave the approval to HSD Marketing to proceed with a special project. A two disk CD, entitled "The Payback" features songs with messages directed toward Starlin. Produced by T. Diddy, the CD is now available.
