Scrapbook -- Mark Goes Fishing

A postcard from Greg on Wednesday, 31 May 2000.

The happy fisherman.

(64KB) Captain Marc catches a fish. Bimini, Bahamas
(44KB) Hmmm. Looks like a Cero... Bimini, Bahamas

Our fishing guidebook leads us to believe Marc has caught a Cero, a kind of tuna.

The net didn't stand a chance against his small, but numerous razor sharp teeth.

And this is what we caught the most of...Barracuda. This one is over three feet long.

(46KB) Our buddy, Barrie. Abacos, Bahamas
(43KB) Barrie makes a nighttime visit. Great Isaac, Bimini, Bahamas

The fish don't seem to be afraid of the boat...

I estimated this guy to be over four feet, but I didn't get close enough to measure too accurately! He had a friend with him, about the same size. The two of them were investigating some food scraps we threw overboard. I took this picture leaning over the rail of the boat, while we were anchored at Great Isaac in about 30 feet of water.
