Rascal-sensei (that is, Teacher Rascal) is Section Banana's whip-wielding teacher. He looks scary at first, but he is actually a great teacher. He can be described by that old line about his bark being worse than his bite. He is gentle and kind to his students, using his whip only to make scary noises for naughty students. He can even use his whip to draw flowers on the blackboard! ^_^; He is totally devoted to his students and is very protective of them. Teacher Maya even accuses him of spoiling his students. As for his love life, he probably likes Teacher Maya a lot. Unfortunately, he have this thing about extracting a revenge from Teacher Maya because she had sort of bullied him even when they were kids. But that really is not that important--his more obnoxious problem on their relationship (or lack thereof) is that Teacher Rascal is too dense to realize Teacher Maya likes him too.
Teacher Barabaraman is Section Apple's teacher. He has the ability to make roses sprout from his head whenever his happy. It would have been nice if that's all there is. He also have the unfortunate ability to produce thorns all over his body. This is why I rather feel sorry for him. What is worse is that he is a very happy person who loves being with people, especially the students whom he loves to hug always. But because of his thorns, everybody shuns him and treats him like the plague. Poor Barabaraman, always starving for affection. At least with everybody avoiding him, he can be considered invincible. Nothing can touch him, ummm, literally.
Teacher Maya is Section Orange's teacher. She is stricter than the other two teachers, teaching her students through discipline rather than "spoiling" them, as she would call it. But she probably cares for her own pupils like the other teachers do. She is very, very fast and agile, her movements even faster than Suzu's. She likes Teacher Rascal, it's just that she is too proud to directly say it to him and he's too dense to even notice it.
If you hear somebody say, "Oh well..." in a sort of trembling voice, then Principal Urara may be around somewhere. A sweet old lady with a perpetual large, happy eyes, she is the Urara Magic School's headmistress from only God knows when. She must be very much ancient already, being the principal too when the young Seravi and Dorothy were also attending the school. But never even think of underestimating her. Nothing fazes her, no event is bad enough to wipe that happy eyes of her face. If somebody makes the mistake of attacking her, just like the possessed Teacher Rascal did, just one slap from her would reduce you into one pitiful bleeding mass.
Teacher Oyuki is the substitute teacher that temporarily replaced Teacher Rascal when he had a little accident involving him and a truck ^_^; . She have the power to make snow and freeze anything into ice. She is a sweet and gentle lady who desperately avoids any kind of confrontation. Unfortunately she is also very sensitive and high-strung. Whenever she becomes upset she makes these really violent snowstorms. The kids try not to upset her or else they would be covered with snow or be turned into a popsicle, but usually fail because everything is scary to Teacher Oyuki and so makes her panic. The kids are probably so grateful she's only a substitute teacher and that Teacher Rascal is back the next day.
The section that is given the most attention, because most of the main characters, namely Chacha, Riiya, Shiine, Yakko and Suzu, are enrolled in that section. It's students are the luckiest because Teacher Rascal, who I think is the coolest teacher, gets to be their teacher. They always get to go on field trips, excursions or just play and have games, to the envy of students in the other sections. They're also the noisiest and had destroyed the school more than once. But that's ok with Teacher Rascal. So yeah, Teacher Maya is probably right when she claimed that Teacher Rascal had been spoiling his pupils. Other students in the class are Mary (the cute girl in the green dress), Oscar (the kid with the enormous head), and Chairo (the caveboy). The picture on the left are the girls in Section Banana, well, except for Marin there (She sneaked out again! Hey, Teacher Barabaraman...).
Section Apple
Section Apple is taught by Teacher Barabaraman. Though not as exuberant as Section Banana, it is not as rigid as Section Orange. The class also go on field trips and excursions and stuff like that (usually with Section Banana) but the class is not as happy-go-lucky as Section Banana. Teacher Barabaraman maybe not as boring as Marin thinks he is (but then, Marin is seldom in Section Apple--she usually sneaks to Section Banana, hoping to finally grab her darlin' Riiya). He may actually be a cool teacher as Teacher Rascal is, but nobody is willing to stay around him for too long. Aside for Marin, I don't know any other student from this class.
Section Orange is the least seen of the three classes. They rarely go out on an excursion and stuff (but they do--remember that camping trip episode with Jason? Teacher Maya was there with the other teachers partying while the kids are asleep). Teacher Maya is strict with her students, so Section Orange is the most disciplined section of the three. They are also the most intelligent, easily passing the final exam while the others are having a difficult time (Section Banana has probably the dullest students around...
