ROGUE

Rogue is a long time member of the X-Men. The foster daughter of Mystique, she was previously a villainess involved with the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants II. She suffered mental problems because of her attack on the X-Men's heroine friend Ms. Marvel and sought help from Professor Charles Xavier. He examined her, using his telepathic powers, and although scanning her was very difficult, he felt he'd learned enough to ask her to join the X-Men. She accepted and became a valued team member.
Although permanently gained powers of flight, superstrength and invulnerability from her contact with Ms. Marvel, Rogue has never been able to control her only natural mutant gift of "absorbing" others' abilities and psyche, a power which is activated by skin-to-skin contact and which forever keeps her physically apart from people.
Upon meeting each other, Gambit and Rogue felt an obvious attraction to each other. Gambit pursued a relationship in spite of the obvious limitations Rogue's power placed on them, eventually falling in love with her and she with him. Since then, their relationship has been through numerous twists and turns.

Matt Murdock Statement: The Gambit Guild is not an official fansite, and, as such, is not endorsed by Marvel. Nonetheless, we do acknowledge our debt to them for creating such a wonderful character and would not dream of making any profit from him other than the enrichment of our imaginations. All textual content on the site is, however, property of the Gambit Guild. If you wish to use it on your own site, please ask. We'll only be to happy to help.
