UNSUBSCRIBE
As a member of the Gambit Guild, you can unsubscribe from the group by sending a mail message to gambit-guild-request@MailingList.net and placing the word unsubscribe in the body of the message.
RE-SUBSCRIBE
You can re-subscribe at any time by doing the same only placing the word subscribe in the body of the text instead. In both cases, you will receive a confirmation message that must be returned in order for the request to be processed. This prevents any accidental or invalid subscribing/unsubscribing.
DIGEST
For those wishing to cut down on the number of posts to their mailbox, the list also has a daily Digest version. This is a combined version of all posts submitted during a specified time period (in this case, 24 hours). It can be subscribed to by sending a mail message to: gambit-guild-digest-request@MailingList.net and placing the word subscribe in the text. You can unsubscribe the same way by placing unsubscribe in the text.
You will likely not want to be on both lists and should unsubscribe from the unwanted one.
GET HELP
Also, if you wish to know more about additional features the list provides, send a mail message to: Majordomo@MailingList.net and place the word help into the text of the message.
MORE INFO
Please note that in order for the listserver to run efficiently, any mailboxes that bounce messages back for any reason will have to be removed from the list. This includes *over quota* notices from mailboxes that have too many messages in them and cannot receive any more. If you are away, etc. and your mailbox fills up, this could occur. This does not mean that we want you to leave the group but need to remove your name so as not to cause excessive work for our listserver manager. Just re-subscribe to the group and let us know you're back. You may wish to unsubscribe if you are away for any extended period of time to keep from filling up your mailbox or subscribe to the Guild's digest version during that period instead. Lastly, technical glitches can occur. If you have not heard from the Guild and think you should have, please write to the manager of our server at ffbarnett@prodigy.net and ask. She will receive a notice of all mailboxes removed and can tell you if this happened and what kind of message was being received.
