Beer Styles Index

This list represents most of the known styles of beer which exist, or have existed, around the world. Thanks to home and small-scale professional brewers, many of the more obscure styles are being brewed today and can again be tasted.

In order to be as comprehensive as possible, the list is a combination of history, legend and official BJCP style guidelines.

Titles in BOLD CAPITALS are recognised BJCP categories and may have several substyles.

Highlighted styles can be clicked on for more information - over time I hope to provide a lot more. The styles named are not necessarily unique; some beers are known by more than one name, and I have tried to list as many as possible and reflect this in the information pages.
