The Children’s Republican Hospital
in Tbilisi
provides
medical care for indigent and refugee children. The hospital
suffers from deprivation in almost every area, from basic equipment to
professional training. A group of physicians from North Carolina will visit
this
hospital in July 2001to fully assess the situation and bring assistance. In the
meantime, the hospital needs computer hardware for internal communication and
billing-and record-keeping, guest lecturers, pediatric journals, training
manuals for nurses, and an MRI for its Pediatric Epilepsy and Neurological
Clinic.
