ARENAL VOLCANO RED LAVA NIGHT HIKE

The tour begins at 7 pm with a 15 minute drive from downtown La Fortuna to the north side of the volcano, the site of the greatest activity. 

Because the lava flow changes directions every few months, our location will change accordingly. 

Included is a 40 minute round-trip hike, an hour long talk concerning the history of the volcano, recent volcanic activity, general information about the lava flow, and an opportunity to watch the glowing red lava rocks making their way down the mountainside. 

The tour is approximately 2-1/2 hours, total.
