Home Made Fudge

2/3 Cup cocoa
3 Cups sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1-1/2 Cups milk
1/2 stick butter (or size of large walnut)
1 Teaspoon vanilla

Mix first 4 ingredients in large sauce pan and cook over medium high heat to soft ball stage about 235 degrees. When some is dropped in COLD water you can pick it up with your fingers very easy and it's a soft ball like gum.  Remove from heat and add butter and vanilla and nuts. Beat for a minute or two until you feel it getting thick, quickly pour into buttered dish. Cool and cut into squares. Good with a tall glass of milk.
