The following websites are dedicated to providing all-round information on Football. Non of the following websites specialise in one particular area, and this allows an all-round view of what is happening in the world of Football.
The Ratings...
Soccernet.com - www.soccernet.com The first and last word in up-to-date results, and articles. Updated 24 hours a day, the site also gives results for every match for World Cup 2002 qualifiers. My only complaint about the website is that the writers tend to build teams up, and then rubbish them at the drop of a hat. The website will however bring you up-to-date on what is happening in England, Scotland, Europe, and even Globally. Rating LiveScore.com Website - www.livescore.com Fantastic website if you are wanting up-to-date results from throughout Europe, and even South America. A little light on articles, but the 'live' results from every major league in the world make up for this. I would rate this website second only to Soccernet.com. Rating Premiership Prediction - www.oocities.org/prempred/ A
free competition where players just need to predict the order of the
2001/02 English Premiership. Results are then sent out every week.
Rating
SWOS Super League - www.oocities.org/swos_superleague/ A free competition where players create their own 5-a-side footie team by allocating attributes to the player. Matches are calculated via SWOS, and weekly results are emailed to all players. Rating Soccer-Online - www.soccer-online.co.uk An online database base that provides information on any English or Scottish club for any week, going back as far as 10 years ago. The website cover every aspect of football, and is one not to be missed. Rating Premier Postman - www.premierpostmen.com Rating Soccer Action - www.socceraction.com To give you an idea of the depth of this website, the Inter-Toto Cup's history goes back to the 1961 season!! (Most websites don't bother to look back to the previous season). Every European League is covered, and I would imagine that this website gets a huge number of hits during the Football season. A well balance website, that gives results on the big European Leagues, and offers information on Leagues that most ignore. Rating ESPN's English Football page - espn.go.com/soccer/standings/england/index.html All four division tables, with top scorers for each division. Also, the FA Cup, (3rd round onwards), and the League Cup. All this information is on just one page. Ideal if you want a snap-shot of results for the English season so far, but if you are after articles, then look elsewhere. Rating Football Fixed Odds - www.footballfixedodds.co.uk Rating
Don't be put off by the appearance of this Website. The layout and design are simple, but the statistics within are second-to-none. If you are just looking for statistics, then go no further than this site. Just about every league in the world can be broken up statistically for you to view. Rating Soccer-Links.com Website - www.soccer-links.com As the website name indicates, this website has links to hundreds of other Football websites. I was pleasantly surprised by what I found here, as 'Links' type websites have usually been a let down in the past. This is a top website, but one that would probably be used less once you found your favorite three to four Football websites. Rating La Vida El Gordo - homepage.ntlworld.com/m.rothwell/m.rothwell "La Vida El Gordo". FinalWhistle.com Website - www.finalwhistle.com This website spreads itself a little thin in my opinion. Up-to-date tables for England, Germany, Spain, Italy, and France. The results coverage is just about non-existent, with scores not usually entered from matches. I use this site purely to see when European fixtures are scheduled for. Despite this the website has potential, so let me know if it improves. Rating
