How Points are Earned - Players predict the outcome of three matches.  2 points are awarded for each correct score predicted for each match, and 3 points are awarded if you predict the correct result for each match.

The players score is then added to the other scores for their team, and the total is what counts.

Playing against me (Stu Toon) - Due to the nature of the competition now being head-to-head, I will be posting what I believe the scores will be when sending out the matches for that week.  This will apply to all competitions that I am in, and will give my opponents a slight edge.

Making Predictions - All predictions must be received 24 hours before the matches take place.  This season the rule will need to be inforced, so please don't feel robed if your entries arrives late and is not counted.

Email addresses - Because players on the same team need to corrispond with each other, I will email teams their players emails addresses at the start of the season - Only your team mates will receive your email address.

Receiving Results - All results will be sent in the form of an Excel spreadsheet, (version 5.0).  Results, League tables, and the following weeks three matches will be sent out within 24 hours of completion of play. (Usually Saturday matches, so usually sent out Saturday evening – UK time).

Postponed Matches - If matches are postponed, then as long as at least one of the three matches takes place, the postponed matches will not count for the competition. If all three matches are postponed, then that week will be replayed.  Matches that are postponed for less than two days will be used.  (eg. Saturday matches being changed to a Monday).

Cup Competitions and the League Final - In Cup competitions or the League Final, the team that has the highest scoring player for that match will progress.  If the top two scorers are equal, then 2nd highest etc.  In the unlikely even that this does not produce a winner, then a replay playoff will be used.  (If both teams fail to score, then neither is Champion).

Keeping Track of your Performance in the GFL - If you feel that I have made a mistake with entering you predictions, then let me know.  You have four days to reply from when the results are sent out, and I will check your original email, (I keep emails for a month).  If I have made a mistake, then the scores will be changed to what they should be. This includes all competitions and all Finals.  Players have the responsibility to keep track of what competitions they are in. Everyone will receive every weeks emails, regardless of what competition they are in.  Reminders are not usually sent out.

The most important rule - HAVE FUN!!  The competition is run so people who follow footie around the world can compete with good natured rivally.
