WHAT WE DID!

FRIDAY

Well, my (Enid) post to the journal is a little loopy, but I am still very tired. I think in the last week, I've had 2 occassions when I've gone 48 hours with no sleep. Thanks goodness today was not a work day!! LOL

True and Leigh joined me at my home on that Friday morning where we got the welcome packets and the tote bags put together. We then loaded most of the stuff into my car and took Leigh's to go pick Liz up at the airport. Poor Leigh had to keep driving around the airport until Liz arrived and we got her bags. This was at 11:00am. From there it was back to my house to finish loading up the cars.

We then went to the Aurora Mall for some lunch at A&W. From there we were off to Sam's to finish getting snacks and breakfast items. By the time we finished that it was time to head for the hotel.

The rooms were nice and big and we had plenty of room for everyone in the Meeting Room (Which was mine and True's room). We got the decorations all up and they looked quite nice. We had a bit of trouble on the VCR front too. The hotel has them in SOME rooms, but out of the 4 we had, none had them. The staff were very helpful and took their training VCR out of the neighboring hotel, which was a sister hotel and let us use it for the weekend.

That evening we all went out to the airport to pick up Kit, who got in late. She was quite surprised to see all of us there to meet her!! ;o) We picked up the pizza on the way back to the hotel and then just watched video's. We watched First Steps, Last Frontier, and George Carlin eps. We were up until around 1:00 am that night, but our two Canadian's were pretty tired cause they were up very early for their flights.
