WHAT WE DID!

MONDAY

Monday morning came and so did the snow, but only about an inch or so!! It was pretty chilly and the breeze did not help a lot. We had breakfast in the hotel lobby and then headed for the stables again. It took the guy about a half hour to saddle all the horses and then we had to get mounted.

Poor Shelly, her horse was being very bad and she was struggling with it. I have to admit that I did pretty well, except I lost my hat twice and they guide had to go back and get it!! LOL The scenery around us was beautiful and the snow only added to that. The ride lasted a good hour and we all had a blast.

We retured to the hotel to pack everything up, change clothes and check out, except for Kit and Liz, who were staying until the next morning. Actually Kit was going to be here another week and a half, but due to some medical problems went home Wednesday.

After getting the rest of us checked out, we headed downtown to the Brown Palace hotel for afternoon tea. What a wonderful experience. We had finger sandwiches, truffles, and other goodies. We had tea and Champaign. After the Brown Palace, everyone went over to the 16th St. Mall to do some shopping. I took Kit back to the hotel, because the poor thing was not feeling well. She and I spent the afternoon talking and watching M7 eps.

The others returned from downtown around 8 or 9pm. At that time I did the drawing for the city door prize, which went to Leigh. True, Leigh, and Lauren all had to leave after that, since they had work the next morning. Kit, Liz, Shelly, and myself all stayed around until 3:00am!! Shelly and myself didn't see any point in going to bed since we had to leave for the airport at 3:00am.

The Denver Gathering was a huge success and everyone had a great time. We all miss each other already and we can't wait to get together again. Our Red Cross Relief Fundraiser made 60.00 and I think that's pretty good for 7 people!!!
