Golems >> top^

Pawn [green]
Notes : Standard patrol model. There are two versions of these; the grenade version and the sword version. Sword versions have the illuminated blue laser on one of their arms, while the grenade versions have a pack on their backside. The grenade versions will aim a red targeting beam at Aya, and deploy three to eight status effecting grenades. It's relatively easy to dodge the grenades, that is if you have the time and space to. Have them target Aya, and keep her to one side of the area; when you hear them launch the grenades, have her run to the other side, and shoot at them while they are reloading. Also, if you have another enemy between Aya and the GOLEM targeting her, then the grenades will impact on that enemy instead of Aya. Ah yeah! Nothing like cheese damage. The sword versions, on the other hand, want to get up close and personal. This is where the hammer attachment is great. Shoot at it while it's charging towards Aya, and then stun it right before it hits her. Shoot again while it's momentarily stunned, and then use the hammer again when it seems to snap out of it. In no time, you'll down him. Yeah! It takes some time, but , this is actually the easiest GOLEM to deal with in comparison to the other ones you will run into.
Hit Points : 425
Attacks : Stun Grenade(18) Slash(24) Stab(28) Blow(30)
Weakness : N/A
Outcome : EXP: 125 BP: 100 MP: 5
Rook [grey]
Notes : Close-combat model. There are also two versions of these; the grenade version and the sword version. Like all GOLEMs, they have a strong resistance to Aya's parasite energy (unless it's something absolute, such as level three Inferno at decently close range). The battle tactics are relatively similar to that of the Pawn GOLEM. If you use the rifle, you might have to spend alot of rounds to do the Rook GOLEMs in. Don't bother to attack it while it seems to clench itself together and make a red sphere; it's creating an invincibility barrier on itself that lasts a short period of time. If you have the Mongoose, then this weapon is particularly effective against this GOLEM. The hammer will not stun it, so don't bother, since chances are you'll get hit instead if it's that close to you. It's better to attack these guys at a distance.
Hit Points : 482/250
Attacks : Jamming(0)[invincibility on self] CS Grenade(20) Slash(24) Stab(28) Blow(30)
Weakness : N/A
Outcome : EXP: 250 BP: 400 MP: 8
Knight [purple]
Notes : Night operations model. Unfortunately, best bet is you'll initiate battle with this guy picking Aya up by her neck after appearing out of nowhere. When he is strangling Aya, move the D-Pad or Joystick rapidly to set her free, otherwise she can be suffocated. He has the camoflague ability, and he isn't afriad to use it. What's difficult with this guy is that he moves around quite alot when Aya can't see him. To avoid being choked (which can possibly kill Aya), have Aya backed against a wall. The hammer attachment stuns him for a short time, and this can be helpful in revealing his position or when he gets too close. Any sort of weapon can do it in, granted it has powerful ammo and relatively good loading time. Even when you learn the Knight GOLEMs abilities, it's still no easy foe to defeat.
Hit Points : 600
Attacks : Stranglehold(10) Slash(36) Rip(50) Choke(--)
Weakness : N/A
Outcome : EXP: 300 BP: 1000 MP: 6
Bishop [red]
Notes : Special operations model. This guy has alot more HP, as well as attacking power compared to the previous ones--it's very lucky you don't run into these often. In first time playing, you may only run into these twice. Thank God! Not only does it appear out of nowhere, but , how many of those things are there?! Well, if you are seeing a few, it's actually just one Bishop GOLEM making clones of itself, and also hiding in camoflauge. If you hit the clones, then nothing will happen to the GOLEM itself. Now, how can you tell if the real GOLEM is charging at you? Simple. It makes that warping/zooming sound upon revealing itself, and the clones do not. I would also advise being against a wall of some sort, so Aya won'd be grabbed by her neck from behind. If you have the hammer attachment, you can use it to inflict decent damage, although the stun effect wears off pretty fast. If you want to take your chances with grenades, go ahead; however, because of the generally slow loading time of grenade weapons, chances are you'll get interrupted and not be able to reload at all. The first time facing him is difficult, just be sure that if he is choking Aya, you move the D-Pad rapidly to set her free, otherwise she can be suffocated. You might say, "I need an easier way to kill this guy!" Well, if you have at least Level 2 Energy Ball, then cast that on yourself the split second you get into a fight with this GOLEM and stand in place. When the GOLEM charges you , the energy balls will cause it severe damage. I've only had to cast it twice to be able to kill the Bishop this way.
Hit Points : 800
Attacks : Stranglehold(10) Slash(45) Rip(58) Choke(--)
Weakness : Back Attack
Outcome : EXP: 400 BP: 2500 MP: 7

Machinery >> top^

Watcher
Notes : Any little thing that shoots a laser at you from a position on the wall is one of these. They're laser security, with motion detectors. Most often the beams are regular (red), but many can cause status ailments, worst being is paralysis (cure this fast!). You'll have the oppertunity midway of the shelter exploration to shut the security "off" by using a touch panel on the last monitor found in the pod area's control center. When shut off, the lasers will not target Aya. Meaning you can destroy them with absolute ease! If they happen to start working again, then best bet is that someone turned the security back on again.. so turn it back off! They aren't really harmful alone, but when grouped together with each other or another enemy, they can be a real problem. Also, parasite energy has little to no effect, so it's better to either rid of them with the baton, or any kind of freebie bullets.
Hit Points : 70
Attacks : Laser Omega(12)[paralysis] Laser Phi(12)[silence] Laser Gamma(15) Machine Gun(15) Laser (25)
Weakness : N/A
Outcome : EXP: 15 BP: 0 MP: 0
Derangement Machinery
Notes : Imbedded in the wall, they look like oversized woofers/speakers. They cause the screen to be wavy, in the pulses that they send out into the area. With each wave, Aya loses MP. They are not much of a threat, but if you keep them there unattended, they can cause a little bit of a problem. They aren't top priority, so I'd advise you clean out any other enemies that are in the same area first, before dealing with this machinery. There isn't any special way to get rid of these guys, and.. if thre were, chances are you wouldn't need it. Again, Parasite ability will have little to no effect.
Hit Points : 200
Attacks : Mind Derange(-1MP)
Weakness : N/A
Outcome : EXP: 150 BP: 0 MP: 0
