Skyline: The light at the top of the Space Needle flashes.

Plot: Frasier and Niles are surprised to find Martin spending the evening with an old family friend, Marion Lawlor. Particularly as the Cranes and the Lawlors had a fall-out many years ago. They see Marion crying and wonder what happened.

Frasier and Niles investigate the cause of the fall out and discover to their horror that Martin and Marion had an affair. Martin admits to it, and does not wish to talk about it any more.

Frasier is shocked by this and can't get over it. It's when Marion Lawlor visits to apologise to Martin about the other night that Frasier learns the truth that Martin was only trying to protect his sons from the truth - that it was their mother, Hester, who had an affair with Marion's husband Stan.....

Subtitles: Not Now...Now!!!; The Lady Vanishes; Dr Shecky Crane; Things Best Left Unsaid; Like Father Like Son.

Roz loves..... the guy who is a "very successful media consultant" who picked her up in his cab.

Where Everybody Knows Your Name: Mentions of Lilith, as Frasier remembers the time she had an affair in the Cheers episode "The Girl In The Bubble", and of Frederick.

Trivia: This is the first episode written by Leslie Eberhard. Understandably lots of mentions of Hester here, plus a mention of Duke's. JoBeth Williams (Danielle) also played Madeline Marshall in Episodes 32 and 33 "Adventures in Paradise Parts 1 and 2".
