Skyline: Lightning storm.Plot: Niles is testifying in court against Harlow Stafford, an elderly millionaire whose son says is not in a fit mental state to govern his properties any more and therefore wants control handed to him. Mr Giroux, Mr Safford's defence lawyer, asks Frasier to talk Niles out of this. Frasier is reluctant, and goes to see Mr Safford for a few hours to make up his mind. Frasier decides that Mr Safford is simply living the frivolous life he is entitled to live, and is not mentally unsound. Frasier tells Niles this, but Niles thinks Frasier is jealous of the fact that the trial (and therefore Niles) will be on TV. The brothers have an argument and Frasier decides to testify for Mr Safford. The trial date arrives, and Frasier tells the jury about Mr Safford and that he is not mental. But it seems Niles was right when Mr Safford starts acting loony, thinking he's on a train rather than in a courtroom….. Meanwhile Roz is secretly giving extra advice to Frasier's callers behind his back. And Martin is watching a boxing match that was on pay-per-view. Subtitles: Second Opinion; If I Had Only Worn My Cotton Chinos; Another Reason To Keep Cameras Out Of The Courtroom. Martin knows….. His friend who has a pirate ariel and therefore picks up pay-per-view. Martin is watching a tape of this. Trivia: Daphne mentions her Great-Aunt Beryl, who lived to her nineties - but became very senile in her older years. Not what Frasier, defending Stafford, wants to hear. The brothers Crane go to see Wagner's Parsifal and scare Eddie with their singing. |
