Skyline: Fireworks explode over the skyline.Plot: Daphne is worried - her former fiancé Clive is coming to visit her. They broke up 5 years ago and Daphne had said to him if they were both free in 5 years she'd reconsider. Meanwhile Martin is trying to get someone to drive him to his army reunion at Rattlesnake Ridge. When he arrives, Clive once again proposes to Daphne, who has looked as awful as possible. Without thinking, Daphne introduces Clive to Niles, her "husband of the past 6 months". Niles is delighted to play along. Clive then meets Frasier and after a talk about Dr Crane's wife (Clive means Daphne, Frasier thinks he means Maris) Frasier is introduced as "Dr Crane's brother, staying with us whilst he gets over his spat with his wife Maris!!!" Frasier agrees to play along if Daphne agrees to drive Martin to Rattlesnake Ridge. Martin comes home and is let into the charade, and impresses Clive with his tales as "Commander Crane, astronaut"!!! Roz knocks at the door and calls Frasier to tell him "it's me!!!". Martin, eager for some fun, says, "Oh look, it's Maris!!!" So now with Roz as "Maris", Frasier as her ex-husband, Martin as an astronaut and Niles and Daphne happily married, things are pretty confusing, especially when Roz accuses Daphne of being pregnant and Frasier being infertile!!!. But when Clive reveals he is now an entrepreneur, the two "Mrs Cranes" suddenly find him very attractive..... Subtitles: Next In The Repertory "Cosi Fan Tushy" Roz loves..... the bodybuilder, who Roz would phone whilst he was in the shower. He would then walk across the room naked to answer it and Roz would watch through Frasier's opera glasses. Martin knows..... old army pals Hank "Bud" Farrell, who gets his nickname because he likes drinking Budweiser. There is also Stinky, Wolf-Man, Boom Boom and Jim. Jim's real name is not Jim but he is called Jim because he drinks a copious amount of a certain brand of whisky..... Trivia: Things get so confusing in this episode that the only thing everyone can agree on is that the dog is actually called Eddie!!! |
