Skyline: The light at the top of the Space Needle flashes.

Plot: Frasier's car has broken down and he and Roz are taking the bus home. On it, Frasier spots a pretty woman talking to her friend. Frasier finds out her name is Miranda and she runs a retirement home. Before he can ask her out, Miranda gets off the bus. Frasier tries to catch her but trips and she doesn't notice him.

Back home Frasier is in a foul mood - he missed his stop due to his trip and had to walk 10 blocks in the rain. Martin says that Duke has given him 2 Sonics tickets - would Frasier like to go with him? Frasier makes some pathetic excuse and he and Martin argue.

Frasier then tells Niles about Miranda. Niles suggests that Frasier go to the home pretending to enquire about putting Martin in there and then asking her out. Frasier agrees, and tricks Martin into going there by making a stop on the way to the ball game. Frasier does eventually ask Miranda out, and Martin becomes convinced that Frasier wants to put him in a home.

On their date, Miranda tells Frasier that Martin has filled out an application to move in. Horrified, Frasier goes to see his father to try and get him to come home.....

Meanwhile Niles and Daphne have planned to watch the meteor shower on the roof - but they're in trouble when Niles gets locked in the stairway.

Subtitles: When Bad Things Happen To Good BMW Owners; Better A Windshield Than His Teeth.

It's Maris!!!: Last time there was a meteor shower, Niles and Maris had dinner on the terrace. Things didn't go too well.....

Trivia: This is a play on Ep 1 "The Good Son" when Frasier didn't want Martin to move in - now he doesn't want him to move out. Mention of Duke - he's in Florida on holiday. And did anyone notice the Café Nervosa advert in the bus?
