Skyline: A monorail is seen travelling across the city.

Plot: A caller, Jeremy, has a problem, and to help him Frasier tells the tale of how Niles managed to stop wetting the bed. He doesn't mention Niles by name, but Niles and everyone he knows realises whom Frasier was talking about. Niles is mad and refuses to do Frasier's introduction at a radio psychiatrist's convention in Boston.

At Boston airport, Frasier, Niles, Daphne and Martin bump into Cliff Clavin, Frasier's old friend from Cheers. Cliff thinks they've come for his retirement party that night, and Frasier doesn't want to let his friend down, so says he and his family will be there. Niles is cross - he has reservations for a restaurant which were hard to get, but Frasier convinces him to push them back a bit so they can go to the party.

At the party, they meet up with Carla, Norm, Paul and the others from Cheers. Martin and Norm hit it off drinking beer together, but Niles is bored at first - until Norm and Carla tell him some embarrassing stories about Frasier's past. Meanwhile Cliff, who's moving to Florida the next day, is feeling sad - when Frasier left Boston all those years ago, everyone tried to get him to stay, but no-one has done that to Cliff. Frasier convinces them to tell Cliff how much he means to them, but Carla can't do this. She tells Cliff how much she hates him, and Cliff is so touched - he thinks that because Carla is saying that it means she wants him to stay - and the move is off.

Later, after the party, Niles, complete with stories in mind, agrees to do Frasier's introduction.....

Subtitles: And It Took 5 Days To Carve A Jack O'Lantern; Other Nicknames He Considered Were "Tiger" And "The Duke."

Martin knows..... the guys from work who realised Frasier was telling Jeremy about Niles on the radio.

Where Everybody Knows Your Name: The biggest Cheers/Frasier crossover yet, with 6 Cheers characters appearing. The party wasn't held at Cheers because Sam Malone was hosting a Red Sox reunion there that night, so Sam, Woody and Rebecca didn't appear. Sam and Woody were mentioned though. Cliff calls bar regular Phil "Al" - Al was another regular who died in 1988 when the actor playing him also died. Carla mentions two of her 8 kids are "in jail". One of Norm and Carla's stories was about the time the guys took Frasier out on a "snipe hunt" - snipe don't exist but poor Frasier didn't know that then! (the Cheers episode "The Heart Is A Lonely Snipe Hunter"). And Walt Twitchell was Cliff's boss at the Post Office who appeared in a few episodes. There's also a mention of Cliff's mother, Esther "Ma" Clavin, who accidentally went to Bosnia not Boston from the airport, and last but not least Vera Peterson, Norm's never seen wife (much like Maris Crane) gets a mention. Norm decided not to tell Vera about the party because otherwise she'd be there!!! :-)

Trivia: So this is it - the big reunion. A great episode. Kirstie Alley (Rebecca) is now the only Cheers character not to appear in Frasier. You may have noticed the Perlman name a lot - Phillip Perlman (Phil) is the father of both Rhea Perlman (Carla) and Heide Perlman (the writer)!
