Skyline: The lift travels up the Seattle Space Needle.

Plot: Frasier and Niles are hosting a dinner party and as usual things go very wrong. Later, when Niles announces he's bought a new painting and that he and Frasier are hosting a party or the unveiling, Daphne decides that maybe she should host the party with Niles, since whenever Niles has it with Frasier something always goes wrong. Niles agrees, but Frasier is offended and refuses to attend.

On the day of the party, everything is going right - until Alice writes her name in crayon on the painting. Roz takes her and it to a specialist to get the crayon off, and Daphne replaces it with a blank easel and covers it for an "unveiling". But whilst Daphne has been attending to the painting, the dinner has been burning in the oven. The food ruined, Daphne has no choice but to call Frasier and ask for his help. However Frasier must not let Niles know he is there, as Daphne wants him to think she is coping.

The first guests start showing up, and to distract them Daphne makes Niles show them around the apartment. The artist, Mike Shaw, turns up and meets Mrs Moon, who invites him to join her watching some boxing on a pay per view channel. Mike agrees, and Martin shows up with some dishes for Frasier - but the guests think he's the artist!

So poor Daphne has to keep Niles away from the kitchen in case he discovers Frasier and make sure no-one peeps at the "painting" before Roz comes back, Martin has to pretend to know all about art for Niles' snooty friends, and Frasier has to make dinner! What else can go wrong?

Subtitles: Dinner At The Cranes Already In Progress; It's A Chandelier; Someone's In The Kitchen With Daphne.

Trivia: Eddie makes a brief reappearance, and there's a mention of Harry Moon as well. We also learn of Daphne's Aunt Evelyn, who likes talking to volleyballs for some odd reason... Ann Cusack's brother John provided the voice of the caller Greg in Ep 80 "Our Father, Whose Art Ain't Heaven".
