Skyline: An aeroplane files overhead with a KACL banner.

Plot: At KACL, Frasier's old friend and accountant, Avery McManus, tells Frasier that he needs to cut down on his spending as his finances are out of control. Julia enters and Avery recognises her, they talk for a while and seem to hit it off.

Frasier and Niles go to Cafe Nervosa only to find out the owner, Maureen Nervosa, has hired a folk singer named Ben to entertain the customers with his songs. Frasier can't stand this and so, with a reluctant Niles in tow, decides to boycott Cafe Nervosa. The brothers go around Seattle trying to find another coffee house, but none seem to offer what they want - in one, Frasier realises with horror that he has to sit in a beanbag! Frasier and Niles enter another cafe only to find Avery and Julia are already there - kissing! Frasier is horrified, since Avery is married, and wonders whether he should tell Julia.

Niles has snuck back to Nervosa, and has reluctantly agreed to dance to one of Ben's songs. When Frasier catches him, Niles runs out, but Ben's next song about doing the right thing makes Frasier decide to confront Julia and Avery...

Meanwhile Daphne is being evaluated by another physical therapist, Evelyn, but Martin is trying to make Daphne look good and Daphne wants her work to speak for itself.

Subtitles: Three Days And Five Coffee Shops Later.....

Roz loves..... Avery McManus, until Frasier tells her he's married.

Trivia: For the songs that Ben sings, click here. Daphne and Martin's subplot was originally supposed to be in Ep 221 "Door Jam", with Ana Gasteyer as the other therapist, but that was pulled from that episode. She appeared as Trish in Ep 217 "Bristle While You Work" instead. We finally meet Cafe Nervosa's owner..... Maureen Nervosa. :-) There's also a slight reference to Frasier and Niles spending $9000 on caviar from Ep 228 "Roe To Perdition".
