Webpage Tips:
|
In recent days I learned one big thing about site design that is crucial to having a good site design,
navigation. When you have tons of information on your site you want your visitors to be able to
access it as easily and quickly as possibe without having to hit the back button three of four times
before they can even start to find the information they are looking for.
Alot of people fall into the trap, as I did, to simpyl having a "Back to Main Page" on most of their pages. Although having the option to go back to the main site is always a good thing, you need to give them quick and easy access to the rest of your site without complications. Organize your site into sections and then break it down from their so your visitors can acess their information much more quickly than normal. Possibly put on your sidebar or wherever you have your navigation an opportunity to highlight related topics (ie: Episode Summaries pages have a link to the Introduction to the Series highlighted.) Its not the biggest and most important site quality you want to rank your brain over but none-the-less you want it to be present because in the end a happy visitor is a returning visitor. Damn that sounded corny but it is true! |
