Following is a list of Gram-Mangal's major educational
activities.
- A residential middle-school (Mukta-Shala) for tribal (Aadiwasi)
children, A permanent exhibition of approximately 600 Educational
Aids, a Training Center for Pre-Primary and Primary Teachers,

- Five Pre-primary schools at different "pada's" (hamlets),
and a One-Year Residential Training Course for Pre-Primary Teachers,

- Two Pre-Primary Schools, and one Primary School, at:

- A "Creativity Center", and a small-scale Production Center
for Children's Educational Aids, and Educational Programs for

Gram-Mangal provides advice (consultancy) to, and conducts training
for, government and private schools. UNICEF, India, and the Times
of India foundation have funded such training on a large scale.
UNICEF evaluated the PEEP (Primary
Education Enhancement Program) in the district of Chandrapur in
Maharashtra state, for which it enlisted Gram-Mangal’s experience,
and sought Gram-Mangal’s advice and training abilities.
As an important recent development, some private schools in the
urban areas of Maharashtra, who were impressed by Gram-Mangal’s
rural work, have sought Gram-Mangal’s help to entirely transform
the teaching and learning methods in their classrooms. (An Example

K. Joshi Highschool at Thane, in Maharashtra.)
Gram Mangal has an open-membership policy, and
an elected governing body. It is a rural voluntary organization
and has registered with the charity commissioner’s office of the
state of Maharashtra in India.
