If by some stroke of luck, you happen to be driving a Corvette, and you hear some idiot next to you at a light reving his engine, don't even look over.  Just floor it and GO! (And if for some reason you don't like being pinned into your seat by one of these cars, just e-mail me.  I'll take the car off your hands for you.)
There were a lot of preformance cars made in the 50's, but very few of them have stood the test of time like the Vette.  Right around 1973, the Mustang, Firebird and Thunderbird all pretty much tured into sedans, not really the kind of cars any more that would make peoples necks snap.  But the Vette remained a true sports car.  It didn't yeild to the threat of the imports, it stared them in the grill and trampled them into the ground.  It didn't slowly turn into the economical, family sedan/sports car.  It remained a true high priced, top end, extremly high preformance car.  And I wouldn't change a thing about it.  Exept for maybe the fact that I don't own one.
There wasn't too much change in 54. . .
