1820 Census - She is in the Henry Grovenbough household; female under 10.
1830 Census - She is shown as in Henry Grovenburgh household; female age 10-15.
Death - She was age 45 at death.

She was married to Hiram Norton (son of Samuel Norton and Orpha Heath) about 1832 in New York. ⁽²²²⁾
MARRIAGE NOTES:
Hiram Norton married Emily Jane about 1832, in New York. Hiram Norton⁽²²²⁾ was born in 1810 in Barnston, Quebec, Canada.⁽²²²⁾ He was born in Canada and moved to New York as a young man. He moved from about 1837 to Ohio.⁽⁷⁹⁾ He moved from about 1846 to Ingham Co., Michigan.⁽⁷⁹⁾ He lived in Delhi Township, south of Lansing, later, moving to Aurelius township. He ran a saw-mill in Aurelius, turning it over to Theodore Norton, from Ohio. He died in 1887 in Aurelius, Ingham Co., Michigan. ⁽²²²⁾ He was buried in Bunker Cemetery, Ingham Co., Michigan. ⁽²²²⁾

Hiram was Horace Norton's father. He lived in Ingham County, Michigan, Delhi Township. a rural area with no large cities, near the Grand River. Emily Jane Grovenburgh and Hiram Norton had the following children:
