He was baptized on 3 Nov 1782 in First Dutch Reformed Church at Schenectady, Albany, New York.^{(73) (74) (34)} He owned land in Lot 2, Sec 03, Twp 13, Range 01 on 24 Nov 1813 in Western New York.⁽⁷⁵⁾ He died on 26 Aug 1857 in Holt, Ingham, Michigan.^{(35) (76) (77)} He was buried on 29 Aug 1857 in Grovenburgh Cemetery/Markham Cemetery, Holt, Ingham, Michigan.^{(78) (77)} He owned land in in Delhi Twp., Ingham Co., Michigan.⁽⁷⁹⁾ He bought a parcel of land from Hiram and Emily Jane Norton. They all had travelled together to Michigan.

Baptism: " Henderick Gravenburgh, son of Johannes Gravenburgh & Maria Willems, baptised on 11-3-1782. Witnesses: Henderik Wullems and Alida Bennet."

Birthdate: He has many conflicting possible birthdates. His christening shows him born in 1782. His tombstone says he was born in about 1785. And the 1850 Census shows he was born in about 1786.

Tombstone reads: "Grovenburgh, Henry - d. Aug. 26, 1857 - 72 y"

1820 Census - He is the head of household: Henry Grovenbough: a male 26-45.
1830 Census - Henry Grovenburgh is the oldest male in the family, age 40-50.
1840 Census - He is the male age 50-60.
1850 Census - Henry Grovenburgh, is age 64, born in NY*, with real estate of $700.

He was married to Sophia Smith about 1806 in New York.
