Halloween was written and directed by John Carpenter and Debra Hill. Made and released in 1978 this small indepedent film was given a budget of around only $300,000 and has made over almost $50 million. Halloween has become the most successful independent horror film of all time! It's Halloween night, 1963, when six year old Michael Myers brutally muders his older sister. He is sent to a sanitarium where for 15 years he remains under the care of Dr.Sam Loomis. Durring his time here Michael never talks or communicates with anyone, but rather concentrates on his escape from the sanitarium and his return to his home town of Hadonfield. On October 30, 1978 Dr.Loomis's worst night mare comes true. A 21 year old Michael escapes the sanitarium and returns to his home town of Haddonfield where 15 years ago he murdered his older sister. Once back home he starts to follow 3 babysitters Laurie, Annie and Linda. Laurie and Annie are babysitting across the street from each other not knowing that Michael Myers has returned home to kill! Michael kills Annie, Linda and Linda's boyfriend Bob and he then goes after what he came home for Laurie! Haddonfields only hope is Michaels physciatrist Dr. Sam Loomis who knows that Michael is not a man but pure evil and he must be locked away.
