It's been six years since the last Halloween celebration in Haddonfield. Michael, Jamie and the Man in Black have not been seen since the ending of the last movie and everyone thinks there all dead, they couldn't be further from the truth. The Man in Black captured Jamie and had her impregnated. The father of her baby is Michael but don't worry it was a test tube baby so Michael and Jamie never had sex. Her baby arrives on Halloween Eve. Jamie and her baby escape from the place they have been locked up in but Michael is hot on their trail. Michael kills her early into the movie with farm machinery. Tommy Doyle (the little boy Laurie looked after in number one) has become obsessed with Michael Myers. He lives across the road from the old Myers house and is keeping a close eye on the family that just moved in there. Tommy hears Jamie screaming for help on a radio program but he is too late to save her. Instead he finds her baby and hides him. The family living in the Myers house are relatives of Laurie Strode. Kara Strode has a son who "hears the voice" that Michael heard. Tommy reveals that Michael has been cursed with the thorn. Where a man must wipe out his whole family for the good of civilization. The Man in Black is revealed and turns out to be a major charcter who has been experimenting with evil for many years at the Simth's Grove Sanitarium. Loomis and Tommy follow the man back to the Sanitarium where Michael once again starts causing havoc. Everyone gets out safe in the end except for Loomis who walks back inside to "take care of unfinished business".
